While She Sleeps has shared a new single from their upcoming new album, Sleeps Society due out on April 16th via Spinefarm Records. Pre-orders are live at the link below.  The band recently launched a new fan-oriented platform Sleeps Society and the band is just getting warmed up for what is shaping up to be a huge year. Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro on “Nervous” and Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 on “No Defeat For The Brave.” Featured on the track “Call Of The Void” are members of The Sleeps Society,  showing this community will be a collaborative force in the future of the band!

RECAP: While She Sleeps – He Is Legend – Savage Hands – Machinist Live at the Gramercy Theater


While She Sleeps invaded the USA for their first headline tour ever last month. Bringing with them labelmates, He Is Legend, along with Savage Hands and local crushers Machinist, the four band bill took over The Gramercy Theater for the night. The brand brought their propulsive live chops to the stage, performing tracks from their last few albums, and their sick new single ‘Fakers Plague’, and much more. We look forward to catching the band again live soon and for eventual new music from the band, which we heard about in our recent interview with frontman Lawrence Taylor. According to a poll on the Music Radar website, Slipknot’s Jim Root and Mick Thomson have been named “Best Metal Guitarists In The World.” The pair received over 17,000 votes, beating out such names as James Hetfield (Metallica); James “Munky” Shaffer and Brian “Head” Welch (Korn); Olavi Mikkonen and Johan Söderberg (Amon Amarth); Richard Z.Kruspe and Paul Landers (Rammstein); Phil Sgrosso and Nick Hipa, Sean Long and Mat Welsh (While She Sleeps); Kerry King and Gary Holt (Slayer); Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel (Killswitch Engage); and Alexi Laiho and Daniel Freyberg (Children Of Bodom) in a vote by fans of the site. It comes as no surprise that this year’s Aftershock Festival was once again sold out. I mean, how could it not with big-name talents such as Slipknot, Tool, Korn, Rob Zombie, Blink-182, Lamb of God, Dropkick Murphys, Marilyn Manson, Bad Religion, Chevelle, and many others. And with the über-early announcement of next year’s headliner—Metallica, for those of you living under a rock—there’s no question that 2020’s Aftershock will sell out as well.
