Savage Lands to Release Their Debut Album “Army of The Trees”


Non-profit band, Savage Lands – founded by Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren, and musician-turned-activist Sylvain Demercastelare – are releasing their debut album next year. Army of the Trees comes out February 15, 2025, through Season of Mist records, with 100% of the royalties supporting the preservation projects that the non-profit is leading in Costa Rica, Africa and France. The album features contributions from Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), John Tardy (Obituary), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura), Lord of the Lost, Maria Franz and Kai Uwe Faust (Heilung), Julien Truchan (Benighted), members of Black Bomb A and others. EP REVIEW: DVRK – Infinite Reminiscence – Season Of Mist  


In case you didn’t get the memo, I would like to remind you that DVRK is “a powerhouse fusion of Deathcore, Nu Metal, and Bass music elements.” How do I know this? Whilst veteran darkened Gothic Metallers Rotting Christ have been with renowned label Season Of Mist for seventeen years, the partnership seems to have particularly flourished with a quadrilogy of albums that began ten years ago with the revered Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού (or, Katá ton Daímona Eaytoy). The 2013 release saw a progression of their sound to a fuller, more refined and stately entity.
