ALBUM REVIEW: Puppy – Pure Evil

It feels as if it has been a long, long time since Puppy released their debut album, The Goat to the world – although the pandemic may have something to do with that considering it has only been three years. When the album was first released, the trio stunned us with an eclectic mix of heavy sludgy, grungy riffs combined with even more eclectic vocal harmonies you’d find somewhere on a Weezer or a Wheatus release. The combination of the two has allowed the band to access the best of both worlds, appearing on some heavier lineups, while still being able to go onto support acts like Creeper. Whether the three-piece will be able to keep this up with their sophomore release is another matter.Continue reading →


Five Finger Death Punch’s Mascot “Knucklehead” Gets a Funko POP Rocks Figure

Funko, the global sensation of popular vinyl collectible toys company has teamed up with 
Five Finger Death Punch for a new figure in the Pop Rocks! series. The FFDP mascot is the new recipient of a Funko POP! Vinyl figure and you can get notfied of the pre-orders for the “Knucklehead” at the link below. See images of the figure below as well. Other artists who have gotten the Pop! Rocks treatment in the past includes Slipknot, N.W.A., Kiss, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Prince, Rob Zombie, and more. The Funko brand, which sells other figures and licensed merchandise, went public with an IPO in 2018.

Ozzy Osbourne Postpones His Tour with Judas Priest to 2023

Ozzy Osbourne has been trying to hold a farewell tour and a tour to support his smash 2020 album Ordinary Man, with opening support from Judas Priest. Now the tour, previously announced for Europe in 2019 and rescheduled three times, has once again been postponed. Tickets originally went on sale in the fall of 2018. Ozzy has also dealth with injuries and a surgery, as well as his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease. All tickets remain valid and will be honored for new dates in May and June 2023.

Watch Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy in The Animated Video for “Hellraiser”

Last month Ozzy Osbourne released a 30th anniversary edition of No More Tears featuring a digital edition with unreleased material. Included was a new version of “Hellraiser” featuring  Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead. Now you can watch and animated video for the track.  are reunited one last time in the new animated clip for their mash-up duet of “Hellraiser.”  The clip is an homage to their decades-long friendship. Produced by Hey Beautiful Jerk and directed by Mark Szumski and Gina Niespodziani, the video opens with OZZY and Lemmy hanging out at the infamous Rainbow Bar And Grill on Sunset Blvd. (Lemmy’s unofficial second home) surrounded by friends. The two are transported from a calm day playing video games in the bar to a post-apocalyptic world where they battle evil forces before ultimately returning to the bar, where they pick up their video game as if nothing had occurred. Ozzy Osbourne’s “Diary Of A Madman” 40th Anniversary Expanded Edition Coming Soon

CONCERT REVIEW: Black Label Society – Obituary – Prong: Live at Ace of Spades

Getting fully back into concert mode has been fun, but also scary on some levels as a fan. I need live music in my life, bad, but I am nervous around small clubs and tons of people right now, since the pandemic is still a thing. Nevertheless, I got the opportunity to cover legends like Black Label Society, Obituary, and Prong all at the same show, no less, and so I had to handle my emotions and nerves (I have pretty bad anxiety on the reg) and trooped out to Sacramento’s respected Ace of Spades club.
