Mouth For War Kicks Off Their New Headline Tour, New Album Out Now



Colorado metalcore crew, Mouth For War, have begun a month-and-a-half long US tour, in support of their latest LP, Bleed Yourself. The live run continues from February 20th in Chattanooga, with Inside You, then moves on from February 29th with MNRK Heavy labelmates Darkest Hour, I Am, and Somnuri. High on Fire Shares a New Single and Music Video for “Burning Down” – New Album “Cometh the Storm” Due Out Soon


Iconic U.S. rock band, High on Fire, will release its new LP, Cometh the Storm on April 19 via MNRK Heavy. The GRAMMY Award-winning group, celebrating its 25th anniversary, recorded ‘Cometh the Storm’ at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts with producer Kurt Ballou. The 11-song effort — the band’s ninth studio album — marks the release of the first new High on Fire music since 2018’s ‘Electric Messiah’ and the first to feature drummer Coady Willis (Big Business, Murder City Devils), alongside bassist Jeff Matz, and guitarist/vocalist Matt Pike. ‘Cometh the Storm’ is advanced by the lead track, “Burning Down”, and a haunting, fever dream video, directed by Lars Kristoffer Hormander. Royal Tusk Share New “Hated” Single from Upcoming Album


Alberta rock trio, Royal Tusk, have released their new single, “Hated.” It comes from their third full-length album, Altruistic, due February 23, via the MNRK Heavy record label. During recording at Alberta’s Audio Department studio, vocalist Daniel Carriere suffered a year-long health battle from a blood clot in his lung, losing over 20lbs and barely able to speak. ALBUM REVIEW: Lord Dying- Clandestine Transcendence


It was back in 2019 when we last saw a release from Portland, Oregon’s own Lord Dying. The album in question being Mysterium Tremendum proved to show a widening in their sound with an ever increased air and nod to progressive rock alongside their more notable sludge elements, as well as a narrative which includes a large focus on the notion of death, mortality and questions around these.

Four years later, events of the world have hardly made this subject matter any less focused in people’s minds and certainly not in the band, as latest album Clandestine Transcendence (MNRK Heavy) continues with this overarching narrative, as well as a continuation on their ever-expansive song writing.
