Thirty minutes of sonic aggression comes jam-packed in the form of this metalcore supergroup’s sophomore full-length.
Ghost Cult Keefy caught up once again with upstart Hardcore Metal band Capra! Their new album “Errors” is out now via Blacklight Media / Metal Blade Records! We chatted with Crow and Tyler to learn all about the new album, a breakdown of every song, challenges the band has had to overcome, and the band’s upcoming appearance at Dios De Los Deftones!
When Capra burst onto the Hardcore scene back in 2021 with their debut album, In Transmission, they displayed whole-heartedly, what the best things are about the subgenre today. Riffs that make you want to start chaos wherever you go, and the emotive vocals from Crow Lotus, made Capra one of the stand-out newcomers in 2021.
World Domination is a big old task. Both in terms of, um, well, actually taking over the world, but also in terms of taking everything about the fifth full-length from Norwegian collective Blood Command in. Twenty tracks, and everything from Black Metal to slick pop, via snarling punk, metallic stomping Hardcore, and even the odd pause for breath (though only a sharp intake before heading off somewhere else, into urban beats, or shimmery synths, or kicking someone’s head in).
Normally I defend how anger is not the only emotion found in heavy music, but the new Harm’s Way album, Common Suffering (Metal Blade) is full-force rage, so strap on a helmet and get ready to fall into madness. I recently got the opportunity to see Mr. Bungle in Philadelphia and they are no ordinary band so this will not be an ordinary review.

Punk icons GBH entertained several generations of fans at the accomadating and fun Garden Grove, CA-based open-air Garden Amp venue on Friday night. In tow were several up-and-coming or established younger acts to keep an eye on and to help the Birmingham baddies celebrate the City Babys Revenge 40th Anniversary US Tour in style. The all-ages event was an almost pitch-perfect celebration of punk’s forever appeal and staying power.
