Maryland Deathfest and Their Related Metalfests to Go On Hiatus in 2023

In a statement posted on social media, Maryland Deathfest is going on hiatus after the next MDF event in May 2022. That means in 2023 all of their related festivals are going on hiatus, including MDF, Netherlands Deathfest, California Deathfest, and more. MDF has operated for almost 20 years, put on 19 fests, and expanded to a global footprint, all while giving a greater voice to Death Metal, Avant-Garde Metal, Stoner Doom, and more genres, perhaps as much or more than any fest in the world.  Continue reading


Municipal Waste, Pig Destroyer, Ghoul, Skinless, Putrid Pile, No Mas and More Booked for Full Terror Assault 2022 


America’s only European-style Open Air Metal fest is Full Terror Assault Open Air 2022, just outside of Chicago. Last year’s event was headlined by Exodus and sold- out and they are aiming to top last years’ event. The first wave of bands for 2022 includes Municipal Waste, Pig Destroyer, Ghoul, Skinless, Putrid Pile, No Mas and many more acts to be announced soon. FTA Open Air takes place from September 7th to 10th 2022 at Hogrock Campground, in Cave In Rock, Illinois. Passes are on sale now at the links below.

FESTIVAL REVIEW: Ozzfest Meets Knotfest Live At Glen Helen Amphitheater, San Bernadino, CA


Fans from all over the world converged in the mountains of San Bernadino, California for Ozzfest Meets Knotfest 2017. Taking place at the Glen Helen Amphitheater & Festival Grounds, the scenic vista of mostly blue skies and mountains all around us was the perfect setting for a weekend of some of the most entertaining, heaviest bands on Earth. After arriving in California a night early, but missing the pre-party show, the Ghost Cult crew got settled in at our hotel, had a great meal and beers at BJ’s Brewhouse, and rested up for the big weekend ahead.
