Def Leppard, Nickelback, Mötley Crüe, Shinedown, Halestorm, Bush, The Struts, Extreme, Three Days Grace, Alice Cooper and More Lead the Inaugural Boardwalk Rock Festival


Def Leppard, Nickelback, Mötley Crüe, and Shinedown are set to headline the inaugural Boardwalk Rock, bringing some of the most legendary names in rock and roll to Ocean City, Maryland, May 17-18. From C3 Presents, producers of the beloved Oceans Calling and Country Calling festivals, and hosted by legendary radio personality Eddie Trunk, the two-day powerhouse lineup debuts with over 25 artists across three stages on the shores of Ocean City Inlet Beach at the historic Ocean City Boardwalk. Three Days Grace, Alice Cooper, 3 Doors Down, Halestorm, Bush, Chevelle, Bret Michaels, Flyleaf with Lacey Sturm and more are also set to take the stage, and fans can find the entire lineup and by-day breakout on the Boardwalk Rock website. Sonic Temple Books Metallica, Linkin Park, Korn, Bad Omens, Rob Zombie, Incubus, Alice In Chains, Three Days Grace, Alice Cooper, I Prevail, Chevelle, and More


The full music lineup has been announced for the fourth year of Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival, including some incredible firsts for the Pinnacle of Rock Festivals in America, held May 8, 9, 10 & 11 at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

More than 100 bands will take the stage during the four-day destination event, marking its biggest year ever. The festival will feature a massive lineup of rock royalty including LINKIN PARK with new co-vocalist Emily Armstrong; they will make their debut at Sonic Temple headlining on Saturday in one of the band’s first shows in seven years. As previously announced, Metallica will also appear at Sonic Temple for the first time ever in 2025 for a “No Repeat Weekend” offering two unique headlining sets over two nights (Friday and Sunday).Continue reading

Post-Grunge quartet, Return to Dust, have just been announced as support for Chevelle on their upcoming US run of tour dates, kicking off in mid-July with festival appearances at Inkcarceration and Rock Fest. ALBUM REVIEW: Source – Emergence


 

As album titles go, Emergence (Self-Released) is a powerful and meaningful moniker for Progressive Metallers Source at this point in their careers. Firstly, it references the album’s inspiration and, in part, narrative of new realisation and “transformation” of vocalist/guitarist Ben Gleason’s worldview following global pandemic-forced lockdowns and the following readjustment.

FESTIVAL REVIEW: Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival, Live at Crew Stadium Part 1


 

Sonic Temple Art And Music Festival returned to Columbus, Ohio for the first time after taking three gap years. 

Let’s begin with a little context. The inaugural instance of Sonic Temple was in 2019. Leading up to the event, festival promoter Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) had discontinued an arrangement with AEG Presents to jointly produce Rock On The Range, the festival in Columbus, Ohio that Sonic Temple replaced. So, Sonic Temple needed to be different enough from Rock On The Range to dispel any raised eyebrows about the move. DWP also broke off ties at about the same time with AEG for their jointly created Carolina Rebellion festival and started a new one in its place called Epicenter. While those moves might have been sound business decisions, it still turned out to be a tough year for DWP festivals.

FESTIVAL REVIEW: Sick New World Festival Live at Las Vegas Fairgrounds


Some people told me I was crazy when I decided I was going to go to the  Sick New World Fest, a debut Metal and Rock Festival in Las Vegas. In the month of May. I hate to sound like a boomer and complain about the heat in Las Vegas, which is an actual desert, but the bottom line is I knew in advance it was going to be hot as hell, and it certainly lived up to that prediction. That being said, I was really excited to come to the festival enjoy a day with my metal community, meet new friends, and see some incredible bands; some I had never seen ever, and some I had not seen in a long time.
