Lindsay Schoolcraft Announces New Ambient Harp Album – “Worlds Away”


Singer/Multi-instrumentalist Lindsay Schoolcraft has announced her new album, Worlds Away (Cyber Proxy Records). This released, dropping October 9th, comes on the heels of Lindsay’s last solo full-length, the Juno Award-nominated Martyr (Cyber Proxy Records). The former Cradle of Filth keyboardist and backing vocalist also performs in progressive black metal band Antiqua. For her new album, Lindsay threw it back to her earlier work of just vocals and Harp, with other instrumentation. The album was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by frequent Schoolcraft conspirator, Tyler Williams, at Monolithic Productions. Striker Wins The 2020 JUNO Award Metal – Hard Music Album Of The Year!


Powermetal loving Canadian band Striker has won The 2020 JUNO Award for Metal/Hard Music Album Of The Year for their album Play To Win (Record Breaking Records/Independent). The Awards show was streamed live on TV and online. The 2020 JUNO Awards will Livestream Their 2020 Ceremony Tonight!


The 2020 JUNO Awards (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy Awards) live ceremony was postponed this spring due to the coronavirus. Tonight the awards show will announce all of their winners, including the award for Metal/Hard Music Album Of The Year. The nominees are Lindsay Schoolcraft (ex Cradle of Filth) for Martyr (Cyber Proxy), Kobra And The Lotus Evolution (Napalm/The Orchard), Single Mothers Dine Alone Through A Wall (The Orchard), and StrikerPlay To Win (Record Breaking Records/Independent). The JUNO Awards are set to be hosted by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Alessia Cara will host the show, which will be broadcast live on CBC. Lindsay Schoolcraft (ex-Cradle of Filth) Shares New Video – “Dangerous Game”


Lindsay Schoolcraft, formerly of Cradle of Filth, has just shared a new music video, a performance-centric clip for her song ‘Dangerous Game’. The song comes from her current solo debut Martyr, which released last fall and is nominated for Metal/Hardrock Album of the Year from the Juno Awards (the Canadian Grammy’s). Filmed by Alexis BC, the clip was filmed live at the legendary Foufounes Electriques, Montreal, Canada on December 7th, 2019, which served as Lindsay’s record release show. Continue reading


Lindsay Schoolcraft and Cradle of Filth Have Parted Ways


Sad news as Lindsay Schoolcraft, the longest-tenured keyboardist and backing vocalist in Cradle of Filth has departed the band. The separation was mutual and respectful as Lindsay is focusing on her growing solo career under her own moniker with a JUNO Awards nominated solo-album Martyr, from 2019, and her black metal band Antiqua with Xen of Ne Obliviscaris. The band has replacement selected, but not yet announced. Cradle is working on a new album, which Lindsay has been working on with them. It will be the follow up to Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay, out now via their long-time label Nuclear Blast. Continue reading
