When We Were Young Festival 2022 Books My Chemical Romance, Paramore, AFI, Alkaline Trio, and More


Let’s take it way back to Warped Tour ca. 2004 as When We Were Young Festival has announced their 2022 lineup. A Punk, Emo, and Metalcore kids dream, the lineup includes headliners My Chemical Romance and Paramore. Other bands on the bill include Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, The Linda Lindas, Alkaline Trio, Thursday, AFI, Meet Me @ The Altar, Avril Lavigne, Senses Fail, The Wonder Years, ADTR, Ice Nine Kills, Black Veil Brides, Motionless in White, Atreyu, Four Year Strong, Palaye Royale, Acceptance, Anberlin, Knocked Loose, Silverstein, Bright Eyes, Dance Gavin Dance and more are among the bands announced. The festival will take place October 22 at Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets go on sale January 21. Check out the lineup and the ticket link below.

Coheed and Cambria and The Used Book a Co-Headline Tour



Progressive Rock band Coheed and Cambria and post-hardcore legends The Used have announced their upcoming summer co-headlinine tour. Special guests on the tour will be The 18-city U.S. tour of amphitheaters is produced by Live Nation, and will begin on Friday, Aug 27 in Irvine, CA, and make stops in Phoenix, Dallas, Cleveland, New Jersey, Worcester, and more. The late summer journey will feature special guests Meet Me @ The Altar and carols daughter on select dates, and will culminate with a performance at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL on Sept 24th. Most tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public beginning this Friday, June 18th at 10AM local time at the links below. Artist pre-sales start tomorrow, Wednesday, February 21st at 10AM local time and will end at 10PM local time on Thursday, June 17th.

The Kings of Quarantine, led by members Slaves on Dope previously dropped an awesome cover of Faith No More’s “We Care A lot” with a gang of rock and metal stars. Now they are back and covering Jane’s Addiction’s Alt-Rock classic “Mountain Song!” The clip features  Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit), Tanner Wayne (In Flames), P-nut (311), Louise Post (Veruca Salt), Richard Patrick (Filter) and, Bert Mccracken (The Used). One hundred percent of the profits for “Mountain Song” will be donated to ROADIE RELIEF, a fundraising effort to aid qualifying Roadies who have submitted an application for financial help during the Covid-19 crisis. After The Used called upon fans to submit videos last month of their frontline fighters as part of a very special project sharing “Every day you wake up and leave your loved ones to fight to keep us safe. We want to showcase them in our new music video.” Today, the band has unveiled the music video for “The Lighthouse (feat. Mark Hoppus)” featuring Nurses, Doctors, First Responders, Gas Station Attendants, Grocery Store Clerks, Delivery People, and other Essential Workers as well as members of The Used and Mark Hoppus at home with their families. Slam Dunk Festival France to Debut in 2020, Books The Used, Four Year Strong and More!


 

The wildly successful Slam Dunk Festival is coming to Paris France this spring. The European version of the UK’s best independent alternative festival for pop-punk and rock will take place on May Bank Holiday Weekend and has booked The Used, Four Year Strong, Chunk! No Captain Chunk!, Grayscale, and Landmvrks. Five more bands will be added to the fest taking over two venues in Paris, France on Saturday 30th at La Boule Noir and La Cigale. The 2020 UK Slam Dunk will take place at Leeds Temple Newsam and Hatfield Park on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May. The two adjacent venues are set to welcome 10 outstanding artists; five of which have been announced today.
