Bazillion Points Publishing is releasing the iconic collection of rarely seen photos of Blag Flag’s takeover of the Wilshire Federal Building and later, The Vex club in Los Angeles, as part of My War On Wilshire: Black Flag Vs. The Wilshire Federal Building…And The Vex, By Michael Pearson. The indie publishing house has long championed essential Punk and Metal books and other ephemera (such as We Got Power, Murder In The Front Row, Misery Obscura), and this new one adds to the lore. Celebrate “Cliff Burton Day 2025” for The Late Metallica Bassist Cliff Burton

Cliff Burton Day 2024 was this weekend and marked the 8th annual Cliff Burton Day, celebrating Clifford Lee Burton, the late Metallica legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.  The day was officially declared by Cliff’s hometown of Castro Valley and the greater Alameda County in 2018. Cliff would have turned 63 today, on February 10th, 2025. This year’s event was held at The Castro Theater and hosted by YouTuber Gomez Grip and Connie Burton on Saturday, February, 8th! There was a Q & A and bands like Metallica tribute band Damage Incorporated! Metallica themselves shared a tribute to Cliff today! This weekend marked the 7th annual Cliff Burton Day, celebrating the late Metallica legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, as officially declared by Cliff’s hometown of Castro Valley and the greater Alameda County. Cliff would have turned 62 on February 10th, 2024. Continuing with tradition, host Nicholas Gomez spoke with Cliff’s family and friends, about their memories of Cliff.
