Metal Supergroup Killer Be Killed, featuring such legends as Max Cavalera (Soulfly/ex-Sepultura), Ben Koller (Converge/Mutoid Man), Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan/The Black Queen) and Troy Sanders (Mastodon/Gone Is Gone), announce one of the year’s most anticipated heavy releases, confirming the Nov. 20 arrival of the all-star band’s sophomore album, Reluctant Hero (Nuclear Blast Records). Midwestern underground Death/Doom supergroup Pulchra Morte features members of Skeletonwitch, Wolvhammer, Eulogy, Abigail Williams, Harkonin, Leagues Below, and more. The band has signed a record deal with Chicago’s Transcending Records and will release a new album this fall. The band released a new track, “Knife Of The Will” via Decibel Magazine earlier this year. The tune served as a taste of the sounds to come.Continue reading →


Supergroup BPMD (Bobby Blitz, Mike Portnoy, Mark Menghi, Phil Demmel) Signs to Napalm Records

Brand new supergroup BPMD, featuring heavy music legends Bobby Blitz (Overkill) on vocals, drummer Mike Portnoy (The Winery Dogs, Sons of Apollo), bassist Mark Menghi (Metal Allegiance), and guitarist Phil Demmel (Vio-lence, ex-Machine Head) have signed a worldwide deal to Napalm Records. The members of BPMD first came together in the summer of 2019 with one goal in mind: to pay homage to some of their favorite classic rock tunes, give them their own heavy twist, and to have a blast doing it. We all could use a bit of fun, and that’s what BPMD is here to provide – a party on wax performed by some of the greatest musical talents in the world! Metal and Rock supergroup Imonolith (members ex-Devin Townsend Project, Threat Signal, Arkea, Methods of Mayhem, Econoline Crush) has shared a video for thier brand new single ‘Instinct’, coming from their upcoming debut album, State of Being, due out on Match 27th 2020.  It’s the second track released after ‘Hollow’ was dropped late last year. Down Books Appearance At Graspop Metal Meeting For “NOLA 25 Tour”

The long-rumored Down reunion is in effect for 2020! The first date of a presumed world tour celebrating the Stoner-Doom supergroup’s legendary debut album NOLA releasing twenty-five years ago next year will begin at Graspop Metal Meeting. The band features current and former members of southern metal greats Pantera, EyeHateGod, COC, Crowbar, Honky and more. The fest takes place June 18-20 in Belgium and added seventy new bands to the bill today, including Down. The announcement comes less than a month after singer Philip Anselmo revealed that the band was in talks to reunite in 2020 for some shows in celebration of the 25th anniversary. No word if former members like co-founder Kirk Windstein (Crowbar, Kingdomm of Sorrow, Rex Brown (Pantera), or the recently retired again Todd Strange will participate. Continue reading →

Heavy Metal group Cyhra , featuring vocalist Jake E (ex-Amaranthe), guitarist Jesper Strömblad (ex-In Flames), guitarist Euge Valovirta (ex-Shining) and drummer Alex Landenburg (Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody), has signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Records. The band’s sophomore full-length album should be released before the end of the year.  More details to be announced soon.
