The date was September 10, 2016. I awoke from a sleepless night. Not from heartache or drama, but from anticipation. You know, a night rocking out to music, memorizing that last verse of your favorite song, looking up YouTube videos of opening acts. That utterly restless night lost in the imagination of the next days adventure. That’s right, that night before the big show. For me it is the ‘High Elevation Rock Festival’ at Fiddlers Green Amphitheater in Denver, CO sponsored by Monster Energy.

Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti will be releasing his second solo release Cauterize with his solo band Tremonti on June 8, 2015 via Fret 12 Records. The album was produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette, and features Tremonti (vocals and guitars), Eric Friedman (guitars), Wolfgang Van Halen (bass) and Garrett Whitlock (drums).

However, the band will need to initially tour without bassist Wolfgang Van Halen due to the recently announced Van Halen US tour. “I am still part of TREMONTI and very excited for the release of ‘Cauterize’, but unfortunately am unable to participate in the upcoming dates due to my prior commitment with Van Halen for the summer tour in support of the Tokyo Dome Live In Concert album,” states bassist Wolfgang Van Halen. “Look forward to seeing all of the TREMONTI fans on the road as soon as my schedule permits!”

America’s biggest Memorial Day Weekend Party – better known as Rocklahoma, has announced the first national Reverbnation Rocklahoma Battle of the Bands contest, as well as details for the 2015 Miss Rocklahoma comepetition. The event is presented by Bud Light and returns to “Catch the Fever” Festival Grounds in Pryor, OK (45 minutes northeast of Tulsa, OK) for its ninth year on May 22, 23 and 24, 2015.
ReverbNation is hosting the national Rocklahoma Battle Of The Bands contest which will allow one ReverbNation artist the chance to perform at Rocklahoma 2015. For more details and to enter the competition, go here.
Registration for the 2015 Miss Rocklahoma competition begins March 16 here, and continues through April 17, with the top ten entries will be announced on April 22, Fan voting will run from April 22-May 8.
