Symphonic Metal legends Nightwish have released an official live performance video for the song “Tribal”, filmed during the band’s tour in support of the Human.:II: Nature—album, which came out in 2020. The follow up to that album will release in 2024. The new video was directed by Ville Lipiäinen, recorded and mixed by Kimmo Ahola of AMS Oy Ltd and mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios.

Comprising of members coming from Nightwish, Children Of Bodom, Wintersun, and Finntroll, new Finnish metal band, Crownshift have just signed to Nuclear Blast Records. They have also recently joined the roster of Till Dawn They Count Ltd management (Nightwish, Beast In Black, Sonata Arctica). Festival season in Athens, Greece has begun with Nightwish and In Flames debuting at Release Athens Festival on June 7th, in Water Square. The headcount featured over 12,000 fans singing along and crowd-surfing throughout the night.

One thing which the German symphonic metal act Xandria cannot be accused of is staleness. A seemingly constant revolving door of members since day one, there simply isn’t enough time for inertia or sterility. The musical merry-go-round did slow down recently though, as for only the second time the band did actually manage to keep the same line-up for more than one record. However, it all changed once again as guitarist and founder member Marco Heubaum returns not only with an entirely refreshed group of musicians, but a noticeable modification to the band’s sound.
