Crushing news for the summer festival season in Europe, as France’s legendary Hellfest, has been canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The festival announced today it was unable to host the festival, which takes place in Clisson, France, outside of Paris. Hellfest 2021 is already announced for next summer. The 2020 edition was to have had Faith No More, and Down will be joined by Deftones, System Of A Down, Incubus, Korn, Mastodon, Opeth, Deep Purple, Judas Priest, The Offspring, Infectious Grooves, The Darkness, Obituary, Death DTA (the Death tribute featuring members of Death), At The Gates, Entombed AD, Sacred Reich, Devin Townsend, Meshuggah, The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Mayhem, Abbath, Rotting Christ, Primordial, The Great Old Ones, Wardruna, The Hu, Taake, Watain, Alcest, Borknagar, Gaahl’s Wyrd, Electric Wizard, Baroness, Om, Witchcraft, Black Mountain, Elder, ASG, Envy, Mono, John Garcia & the Band of Gold, High On Fire, Pelican, Killing Joke, Perturbator, Life of Agony, 3TEETH, Inter Arma, Body Count, Suicidal Tendencies, Youth of Today, Slapshot, Jesus Piece, Higher Power, Social Distortion, Anti-Flag, Agnostic Front, Reverend Horton Heat, Grade 2, Code Orange, and more. Download 2020 is Officially Canceled
The 2020 edition of Download UK festival has officially been canceled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The event was set to take place on June 12-14 at Castle Donington, with headlining performances by Iron Maiden, KISS and System Of A Down with additional bands such as Deftones, Korn, The Offspring, Disturbed, Gojira, Alestorm, Black Veil Brides, Daughtry, and Of Mice & Men and many more. Slipknot Postpones Knotfest Japan, Asia Tour Over Coronavirus Concerns
The first casualty of the Metal touring and festival world due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has fallen. Slipknot’s Knotfest Japan, set to take place in three weeks on March 20th has been postponed until a later date TBA. The event is working with the band to reschedule at a later date. The band has postponed all of their expected Asia tour dates as well Fans wishing to keep their tickets may do so, as they are fully valid for rescheduled dates when they are announced. Fans wanted a refund will get one soon but have been asked to wait for imminent details to be announced. Knotfest Japan 2020 was to have featured Slipknot headlining both nights, along with Anthrax, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Man With A Mission, Maximum The Hormone and more! The first-ever Knotfest took place seven years ago in Council Bluffs, Iowa and moved two years later to San Bernardino, California. In 2016, Slipknot and Ozzy Osbourne joined forces for the first-ever Ozzfest Meets Knotfest, featuring both acts performing headlining sets on different days. Korn and Faith No More are joining forces for a co-headline tour this summer! The bands will be supported by special guests Scars on Broadway, Helmet, Spotlights, and `68 on select dates. Korn and Breaking Benjamin, if ever there was a 90s/00s tour to be at, it’s this one! The angsty, JNCO jeans and hockey jersey-wearing white boy in me jumped at this one. This tour is a melting pot of old school fans and new school fans alike. People such as myself that grew up with Korn’s self-titled début, Follow The Leader, and Issues alongside people who grew up listening to Breaking Benjamin’s We Are Not Alone, Phobia, and Dear Agony coming together to join in a loud AF holy matrimony that sold out the SNHU Arena with 12,000 people. The plot thickens in the mystery of the Faith No More, Korn, System of A Down social media teasers with an astronaut on a spacewalk.
