The album, Gold, is due out February 21st, 2025 via Housecore Records in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe. St. Louis metal trio, Nest, have just kicked off a three-week tour in the US, running until the final stop on November 23rd in New Orleans, Louisiana. Spearheaded by Scour and Agoraphobic Nosebleed bassist, John Jarvis, they will be touring in support of their Endeavors full-length released in April via Housecore Records. They have also shared a live video from Philip Anselmo’s annual Housecore Home Haunt 2024, performing “Nice Shot” and cover of Sepultura’s “Roots Bloody Roots,” with Dennis Sanders (Spirit In The Room). ALBUM REVIEW: Nest – Endeavors
Nest is helmed by multi-instrumentalist John Jarvis of Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Scour. Given his connection to Phil Anselmo through Scour, it only makes sense for this project to be on Housecore Records. Endeavors marks the third full-length album of the project. Last Friday (1/29/21) I got to check out the live stream from Housecore bands Scour and Shock Narcotic. Both of these groups are “supergroups” but I’m not going to get into that right now. I will say though that the list of bands that make up the background for each band are some of my favorites so I was kinda excited for this show.
