Rapper MF Doom Has Died, Aged 49


Sad news at this late day in the year, as legendary Rapper and underground Hip-Hip icon MF Doom has died. No cause of death was revealed. The news was broken on Facebook in a post to his page by his wife. According to the post he died on Halloween, but that information is being verified as of now. Born Daniel Dumile in the United Kingdom, he changed the world of rap in ten years of releases from 1999 to 2009 with inventive, ground-breaking albums such as Operation: Doomsday, Take Me to Your Leader, Vaudeville Villain, Venomous Villain, Mm..Food, and Born Like This. inspired by Marvel Comics character Doctor Doom, with his mask, great rhyme skills, and dynamic stage persona, he gained critical acclaim, and commercial success. In an age of disposable MC’s and dumbed down styles, MF Doom was a leader who had great tracks and brilliant lyricism. RIP.

You gotta face the facts, you will never be as cool as Ice-T. Never. He came from the streets of Los Angeles to become an iconic figure of Hip-Hop, movies and television, and Metal music. For some people, it seems like there is no mountain they can’t climb, and Ice is one of those guys. Sure, he could chill and sit back on the Law and Order: SVU Special Victims Unit money, and all those royalties. Ice-T’s Body Count Shares New Single and Visualizer for “Carnivore”


 

Ice-T and his legendary Hardcore, Metal and Hip-Hop band Body Count just shared a new single, the title track from their new album, due out next spring via Century Media Records. The song is brutal as hell! The video is by Guilherme Henriques, using the original cover artwork by Zbigniew M. Bielak. The track like the album was produced by Will Putney, and engineered, mixed and mastered by Putney for Graphic Nature Audio and by Body Count. FESTIVAL REVIEW: Adult Swim Festival


For just one weekend the Banc of California Stadium was transformed into a carnivalesque outdoor funhouse for the Adult Swim Festival. The stadium was alive with colorful distorted animations reminiscent of children’s cartoons and claymation scenes warped and hyperbolized beyond the mind’s comprehension, while a giant Meatwad dome sat across an even larger inflatable slide shaped like Morty’s head vomiting a rainbow.
