Marilyn Manson, currently finishing his new album with Shooter Jennings has released a new single and music video for his take on the classic American folk song, ‘God’s Gonna Cut You Down’. Manson teamed again with director Tim Mattia once again for the cinematic black-and-white video filmed in Joshua Tree, California. ‘God’s Gonna Cut You Down’ was recorded with producer Tyler Bates, who worked on 2015’s The Pale Emperor and 2017’s Heaven Upside Down. The track may be an indicator of what to expect from the new Manson album. The song is available to pre-order now on limited-pressing picture disc featuring one of Manson’s original watercolor paintings.
William DuVall has already made a splash as a solo artist that looks to see him step out from his other gig as the co-lead singer of Alice In Chains. His first solo album, One Alone, is an all-acoustic affair. As William describes it, “I felt the need to peel everything back. This album is strictly one voice, one guitar. It reveals the very core of who I am as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter.” The album’s first single, ‘Til The Light Guides Me Home’, is out now. The moment I received the press release for this album, I was über intrigued. I had heard the whisperings of a new project from Mr. Danny Worsnop, but nothing had come to fruition until now. I feel that I am a staunch Worsnop supporter and one who has followed his career from the start, and even I was taken by surprise by the tone of this album. I want to explain what I mean by that, so as to avoid any “bunching of undies” by his throng of fans. Danny first hit my radar in 2010 while he was still with Asking Alexandria, even from that first moment, I knew he was an enigma.
