The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place tonight in Los Angeles, and Heavy Metal icons Judas Priest are now a member! The are now members with Carly Simon, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Judas Priest, Lionel Richie, Pat Benatar, and more. Judas Priest, Eminem, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Pat Benetar, and More Have Been Inducted into the 2022 Class of The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame
Judas Priest has been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame with the class of 2022. They will receive the honor in the Musical Excellence category, along with RnB legends Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Also inducted into the Performer category will be Eminem, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Lionel Richie, Pat Benatar, Eurythmics and Carly Simon. The induction ceremony will be held on November 5, 2022 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. It will air at a later date on HBO and stream on HBO Max. There will also be a radio simulcast on SiriusXM’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Radio channel 310.

Rage Against the Machine, Judas Priest, New York Dolls, Eminem, Beck, Pat Benatar, MC5, and many more among the nominees for the class of 2022 of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Seventeen acts have been nominated with seven on the ballot for the very first time: Eminem, Beck, Duran Duran, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, and A Tribe Called Quest. Eminem is in his first year of eligibility for rapper. The fan voting is also open as of today on the Rock Hall’s website, but only counts for a tiny portion of the final talley and not really a factor in who is voted in.

ALBUM REVIEW: Myrkur – Folkesange
Amalie Brunn is a chameleon of the most striking, variant shades, which makes the English transalation of her of her alter-ego Myrkur (‘Darkness’) something of a paradox. That darkness, of course, comes from the Dane’s lyrical content, and frequent Black Metal incursions into the Folk-based music she peddles with wondrous feeling. New album Folkesange (Relapse Records), however, eschews the usual harsh accompaniment: focusing purely on her Scandinavian Folk roots and delivering a set of softened, heartfelt songs.Continue reading
