As the principal creative force behind Emperor, his iconic status as a Black Metal musician was secured with their impactful nineties debut album In the Nightside Eclipse which released at the height of the genre’s second wave. While the experimental and progressive influence of his solo output has somewhat gone under the radar in comparison to his work with Emperor, those that have followed his releases since The Adversary in 2006, have been treated to an extraordinary body of work. Corey Taylor Shares an Update About His Mental Health Struggles – Says He Had “A Complete And Utter Breakdown”
Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman, and solo artist Corey Taylor has shared a new video to social media addressing fans’ concerns over his well-being after he canceled most of his solo headline dates booked for early 2024. Following an announcement that he was canceling his solo dates in North America to take a break and focus on his mental and physical health and spend time with his family, Taylor revealed a few short weeks later that he plans to go ahead with a short run of four shows in Asia between late March and early April. Slipknot has tour dates booked at festivals such as Sick New World and Welcome to Rockville, as well as a 25th anniversary tour in celebration of Slipknot’s debut album release in 1999. Slipknot Will Finally Release Their Lost Album – “Look Outside Your Window” in 2024, New Documentary Also Incoming
As previously reported, Slipknot had recorded an as yet unreleased album Look Outside Your Window, recorded at the same time as All Hope Is Gone (Roadrunner Records). The record was created with the lineup of percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan, vocalist Corey Taylor, guitarist Jim Root, and DJ Sid Wilson. The band last teased the release of their lost album around Christmas Day 2019, but still remains unreleased as of now. In a new interview with NME, and reported by Metal Injection, Clown has shared, Slipknot will 100% release Look Outside Your Window in 2024. Officially Roadrunner Records and Slipknot’s deal ended on April 1, 2023. Slipknot released their controversial new album The End, So Far in 2022. As the band celebrates the 25th anniversary of their debut album Slipknot in 2024 with a tour and merch, there will also be a new documentary on the history of the band, directed by Clown, and released on several formats.
