Prefers To Hide In The Dark Streams Their Cover of “Voices” by Dream Theater



Multi-national Progressive Rock and metal band Prefers To Hide In The Dark is now streaming their cover of Dream Theater’s “Voices” which was originally released on DT’s debut album Awake. Initially shared as a full-band playthrough video on March 8th, 2024, the track is streaming on all DSPs now. Their previous single “Atlas” featuring Shelby Logan Warne was released in 2023. Formed in 2021, the band is finishing their second full-length album, for release at a later date. Stream and watch “Voices” now!

Anaal Nathrakh Books a December Co-Headline Show, Hints at a Breakup

Enigmatic extreme metallers Anaal Nathrakh has booked a December co-headline show in London with Sigh. It will be the bands first show in almost three years. It was announced in a post to Instagram. Apparently, the show is to be played without co-founder Mick Kenney who now lives in California, and the postulates that the gig with either lead to more shows, or the band will disbands entirely. Backing up vocalist Dave Hunt, will be former live members of AN and members of Akercoke/Voices. Tickets are on sale now at the link below. The band released their last full-length Endarkenment in 2020.

FESTIVAL REVIEW: Damnation Festival 2019: Live at Leeds University


When Axl Rose waxed romantically about cold November rain in back in 1992, he clearly wasn’t singing about Leeds on a Saturday morning. A cold, depressing day darkened by oppressive black clouds showering their misery relentlessly from above, there is nothing romantic about Leeds city centre. However, above the sound of rain pelting against umbrella canopies, and cars splashing through ankle-high lakes of dirty water, there is hope. Somewhere out there is Damnation Festival.
