Inferno Festival 2020 Has Been Cancelled Due To Coronavirus Restrictions
Sad news as one of the greatest metal festivals in the world, and a favorite of Ghost Cult, Inferno Festival 2020, set to take place in Oslo, Norway has been totally canceled. The fest was to feature Kreator, Mayhem, Triumph of Death, Amorphis, Venom, Gorgoroth, Marduk, Ihsahn, Kampfar, and many more! According to a message from the festival, “all public events in Norway are banned until the end of April, and this period might be extended. The health authorities estimate 4-5 months. Inferno Metal Festival has booked its final five bands for the 20th anniversary in 2020, and they are all legends. Triumph of Death (Hellhammer/Celtic Frost band led by Tom G. Warrior), Amorphis, Asphyx, Oranssi Pazuzu, and The Great Old Ones will perform at the fest in Oslo, Norway next spring, on 9-12 of April. The full lineup and details can be found below. Oranssi Pazuzu Books Short US Tour with Insect Ark, Appearing At Psycho Las Vegas
In a rare appearance in North America, Finnish psychedelic/prog Black Metallers Oranssi Pazuzu will embark on an EXCLUSIVE tour of the USA as part of their participation in Psycho Las Vegas 2019. The band will play a one-off show in Los Angeles on August 14th, preceding their performance on August 17th at Psycho Las Vegas, where they join the likes of The Original Misfits, High On Fire, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Bad Religion, Carcass, Old Man Gloom, Power Trip, and many more. Direct support on the tour to come from Insect Ark. The tour runs from October 10th through October 19th, with shows in Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Raleigh, and Atlanta. Roadburn has a history of creating ‘once in a lifetime’ moments every year the festival comes around, and in 2018 we were exposed to the pairing of two of Finland’s most eclectic and psychedelic outfits performing a one-off commissioned piece of music never to be replicated.
