Faith No More Members Are Working On New Music


In a major piece of news for Faith No More fans, Roddy Bottum in a new interview says that he has been getting together with his co-founding bandmates Mike “Puffy” Bordin and Billy Gould to make new FNM music. Although this is no future release date planned at this point, this is definitely an encouraging sign. New music from the seminal band would be the first original release since the bands acclaimed, but ardously produced Sol Invictus (Ipecac) release. Faith No More performed their last show, which was at the conclusion of 2015. Read some quotes from Bottum below. All of the members have been busy with other projects, most notably frontman Mike Patton and his hardcore supergroup Dead Cross, and scoring soundtracks such as Stephen King’s 1922 for Netflix. Small Victories: The True Story Of Faith No More is coming September 12th, Jawbone Press. The book was written by Adrian Harte, the blogger whose website, Faith No More 2.0 (www.newfaithnomore.com), has become the pre-eminent source for all things Faith No More. While not an official book from Faith No More itself, the 376-page offering features interviews with multiple band members, managers and key figures from the band’s 39-year history and has the full endorsement of the San Francisco-based group.Continue reading


Billy Gould Added To Wayne Kramer’s MC50 Concert Tour

Billy Gould, the legendary bassist, and songwriter of Faith No More has been added to Wayne Kramer’s all-star MC50 band, celebrating the 50th-anniversary of the MC5 with tour dates this fall. Perofming the classic album Kick Out The Jams, Gould joins Kramer, Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Marcus Durrant (Zen Guerrilla) and Kim Thayil (Soundgarden). Mike Patton, the genius musician and vocalist and musician known for his work with Faith No More, Dead Cross, Phantomas, Tomahawk and more will see his expanded score to the Stephen King-sourced Netflix film “1922” sees a July 20 release via Ipecac Recordings.

Heavy Montreal To Return In 2018

After taking a one-year hiatus for upgrades to the venue, Evenko, which produces Heavy Montreal, has announced that the festival will return in summer 2018. Taking place July 28 & 29, 2018 at Parc Jean-Drapeau and also its sister festival, Heavy in the City, will return on July 27, 2018. Since 2008 the fest has been headlined by the likes of Metallica, Slipknot, KISS, System Of A Down, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, KORN, Slayer, Alice Cooper, Megadeth, Motörhead, Marilyn Manson, Godsmack, Lamb Of God, and Faith No More.
