Bloodstock Open Air 2023 (BOA) has announced a slew of new bands, filling out the Ronnie James Dio Main Stage, and Sophie Lancaster stage. Now on the bill are Candlemass (replacing Whitechapel who have dropped out), Tribulation, Royal Republic, Employed To Serve, Witchsorrow, Wytch Hazel, Skin Failure, Bloodyard, Wolfbastard, Tribe Black Coast, Russkaja, Gaerea, and Striker. ALBUM REVIEW: Ithaca – They Fear Us
Following the release of their debut album The Language Of Injury in 2019, Ithaca quite rightly found themselves labelled as one of the new up and coming buzz bands in the UK’s Metal scene. The album was a furious slice of post-hardcore / metalcore, full of great riffs and powerful vocals delivered by singer Djamilla Boden Azzouz, which saw them saw them gain comparisons with the likes of other heavy, strong bands including Svalbard and Employed To Serve. Employed To Serve Books UK a Headline Tour
Rising UK Metal band Employed To Serve have announced a last-minute run of UK headline shows, set to kick-off in Huddersfield on May 17th 2022. South London metallers, Burner, will be opening proceedings across the 9-date tour, whilst shoegaze two-piece, Zetra, will appear as special guests across both Milton Keynes and St Albans. These dates are in addition to this summer highly-anticipated festival dates such as Rock For People, Graspop Metal Meeting, Roskilde Festival, Resurrection Festival, and a tour planned as the direct support opening for Gojira. The band are supporting the new album Conquering (Spinefarm Records, review here) out now!

Gojira Books 2022 European Tour Dates with Alien Weaponry and Employed To Serve
Modern Metal legends Gojira have announced their return to Europe with a headline tour January – March 2022. The new dates, which will be split into two legs, feature special guests Alien Weaponry and Employed To Serve. The first leg kicks off Jan 17th in Finland and closes in France on Feb 9th, with the second leg picking up in The Netherlands on Feb 20th and wrapping in the UK on Mar 14th.
