Amon Amarth has shared a new single and video – “Get In The Ring!” The track arrives after their previous single and video “Put Your Back Into That Oar” three months ago. The new track debut on SiriusXM Liquid Metal all day on June 1st before the video debuted. The new music arrives ahead of the expected new Amon Amarth record due later in 2022 or early 2023. The band will play a few shows this summer, before teaming up with Machine Head on an epic co-Headline tour all over Europe and the UK. Watch the video now!
Iron Maiden’s Legacy of the Beast free-to-play mobile game is excited to announce a major in-game collaboration, this time with Disturbed! Following successful collaborations last year with Amon Amarth, Lacuna Coil, and Ghost, Iron Maiden’s Legacy of the Beast has teamed up with Disturbed to bring the iconic cloaked mascot “The Guy” to life in the mobile game. Kicking off Wednesday, February 16th, 2022 PST, you can play a limited-time, in-game event called, Disturbing Sciences featuring a limited-time character, The Guy. The game’s Disturbing Sciences event is an ode to both bands’ lore taking its broad themes from the cover of Iron Maiden’s 1986 album Somewhere in Time and Disturbed: Dark Messiah, a five-part comic book series where The Guy makes his comic book debut. Over the years, The Guy has been depicted as an antihero, saving people from corporate corruption, often through violent means. Once again, the grandaddy of the metalfests, Wacken Open Air has had to put off their sold-out festival for the second year in a row, following global conditions resulting from the pandemic. The organizers posted to the website and social media that the festival simply couldn’t take place this year after the German government declared that no massive gatherings, like music festivals, can take place before August 31st. The new dates for the festival are 04.08. – 06.08.2022. In 2019 Wacken had sold out all 75,000 tickets within 24 hours after going on for the 2020 fest. Slipknot, Judas Priest, Amon Amarth, Mercyful Fate, and many others were announced.
Dynamo Metalfest, one of The Netherlands’ best metal festivals, is 100% on for this summer, 2021. Although they lost a few international bands, the fest is rocking forward with headliners Amon Amarth, Heaven Shall Burn, along with Testament, Jinjer, Candlemass, Jinjer, Orange Goblin, Decapitated, Dress The Dead, LIK, and more!
