One band to conquer them all! Wacken Metal Battle USA announces that band submissions for 2027 battles across the country to send one unsigned, independent American band to play the world’s most prestigious and largest already sold-out metal festival, Wacken Open Air, are open from October 1st to December 1st, 2026.
Having just closed out its 35th anniversary, Wacken has already announced the first bands confirmed for the 2027 edition. Five Finger Death Punch, Electric Callboy, Helloween, Kanonenfieber and more have been announced for the festival, taking place 28th July to 31st July. Keep reading below for more.

Wacken Open Air, one of the most important events of the metal calendar, has begun its 2026 anniversary edition, on July 29th.
