Clutch Shares a New Lyric Video for their Willie Dixon Cover – “Evil”


Clutch has announced a new album for later this summer, Weathermaker Vault Series, named for their own record label imprint. The band has shared a lyric video for their updated cover of Willie Dixon’s classic blues track ‘Evil’. Dixon was the famous and inspirational bluesman whom Led Zeppelin copied and covered a lot early in their career, and ‘Evil’ has that same DNA with Clutch’s fingerprints on it too. Led Zeppelin has few peers on record in their fiery but brief career. Death HawksBy sheer coincidence, and I swear this is true, as I sat down in the late afternoon sun in my back yard to write up this review, a hawk swooped down on a flying pigeon right before me. The pair plunged to the ground and over the next ten minutes there was a terrible flapping, shrieking, and a slow, torturous death. At one stage the hawk looked at me for a while, as if warning me not to interfere, and once its prey was dead, launched itself skyward once more to find a place to feast on the warm body.Continue reading
