Season To Risk Shares a New Single and Video for “Echo Chamber” – New Album Due Out on Record Store Day
Rock legends Season to Risk from Kansas City have announced a new album and tour in April – May, and a new single, the post-rock anthem “Echo Chamber” off their new album 1-800-Meltdown due out from Init Records, a Record Store Day exclusive on April 12th 2025. This return to their noise rock roots compiles new music with rare tracks, some featuring guest musicians from Shiner and The Life and Times. It also includes the industrial punk track “Undone” they played during their club scene in the film Strange Days. This is the first new album by Season to Risk since 2001’s The Shattering, with the same lineup. The band will also embark on a spring tour with support from Plaque Marks, Upright Forms, and more. Credited as “GBI” – Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Charlie Benante, and Scott Ian (Anthrax) – released their Record Store Day 7 Inch single of “The Regulator” (Megaforce Records), the iconic Bad Brains song from the band’s self-titled 1982 debut album. Released as a Record Store Day seven-inch exclusive, only 6000 copies of the track were pressed, with all proceeds going towards healthcare for Bad Brains’ frontman Paul D.
