FESTIVAL REVIEW: Ozzfest Meets Knotfest Live At Glen Helen Amphitheater, San Bernadino, CA


Fans from all over the world converged in the mountains of San Bernadino, California for Ozzfest Meets Knotfest 2017. Taking place at the Glen Helen Amphitheater & Festival Grounds, the scenic vista of mostly blue skies and mountains all around us was the perfect setting for a weekend of some of the most entertaining, heaviest bands on Earth. After arriving in California a night early, but missing the pre-party show, the Ghost Cult crew got settled in at our hotel, had a great meal and beers at BJ’s Brewhouse, and rested up for the big weekend ahead. Riot Fest was started a few years back in the grand spirit of the old school one-off festivals of lore. It was intended to be special from the get-go and they have done a reasonable job of sandwiching themselves into a busy summer of Lollapalooza, Chicago Open Air, and many other destination festival shows. Having a mix of alternative rock, metal, Hip-Hop, indie rock, and more has helped carve out its own niche, and between special performances, varied food and beer options, late-night after parties, and basically the cool factor Chicago offers as one of the best cities in America, it’s no wonder fans flocked to the event from all over the world.Continue reading


Todd Youth Talks Bloodclot, Punk History, Rock Royalty And More


Todd Youth is a legend of New York Hardcore, rock and metal. At 12 years old he played bass in Agnostic Front and later went on to play in or work with Murphy’s Law, and Warzone. Youth has also played with Danzing, Samhain, D Generation, Glenn Campbell, Son Of Sam, The Chelsea Smiles, Cheap Trick, Ace Frehley (current band), and briefly with Motorhead. Todd is currently playing with his hardocre punk supergroup Bloodclot, with members of Cro-Mags, Queens Of The Stone Age, and The Dwarves. Hardcore Legend Roger Miret Signs His New Book, Sings With Stigma


Roger Miret, best known as the frontman of the legendary New York Hardcore band Agnostic Front held a book signing event earlier this week at Generation Records, in New York’s West Village. Miret signed copies of his new memoir My Riot: Agnostic Front, Grit, Guts & Glory, out now via Lesser Gods Books. In addition to a who’s who of famous punk band members and personalities on hand to hang with fans, the event was hosted by film director Drew Stone (New York Hardcore Chronicles, Who The F*ck Is That Guy), co-author Jon Wiederhorn, and featured a performance from Miret acolyte and AF bandmate Vinnie Stigma, and his solo band Stigma.
