Norma Jean has streamed a brand new song from their forthcoming, fan-named album All Hail, due out on October 25 via Solid State Records. ‘[Mind Over Mind]’. The new album was The disc was recorded earlier this year with producer Will Putney (Every Time I Die, Body Count) at his Graphic Nature Audio studio in Belleville, New Jersey. Norma Jean Guitarist Jeff Hickey Exits The Band
In a lengthy post to Facebook, Norma Jean has announced that longtime guitarist Jeff Hickey has been asked to step down from the band due issues with sobriety. The band has urged understanding and a plea to not shame Jeff, but help him and all who have the same problems. As of now, no announcement has been made about a replacement. Continue reading

In Flames – Norma Jean – Light the Torch: Live at O2 Ritz Manchester (UK)
For the past decade or so, melodeath heavyweights In Flames have divided the worldwide metal community. After beginning humbly as a melodic side-project to Jesper Strömblad’s traditional death metal band Ceremonial Oath, the Gothenburg group went on to release a string of innovative albums throughout the mid to late 90s that earned them unanimous acclaim for pioneering a much cleaner, more NWOBHM inspired style of death metal. Alongside the likes of bands such as Dark Tranquility and At the Gates, this fresh approach took the metal world by absolute storm. However, the turn of the decade has seen the Swedes popularity tower to heights not often reached without musical compromise, a notion that most bands of their genre would never dare to entertain. In the case of Anders Fridén and co, they boldly made the decision to incorporate friendly grooves and alternative metal riffs into a core sound that was always considered to be its best when abrasive, off-putting and relentless.

Metalcore leaders Norma Jean has been chilling of late after ripping up the road on tour earlier last year through late summer. The band recently released a deluxe version of their 2016 album Polar Similar, out now via Solid State Records. As a bonus to fans, the bands shared a brand new song, ‘Children of The Dead’. The track is a crushing, noisy throwback the bands’ earliest and best work, which is perhaps why they left it off Polar Similar. Jam it out below.
