Megadeth has announced “They Only Come Out at Night’ – Live at Budokan – A Global Livestream Event! Taking place on February 27th 2023, 6pm JST / 9am GMT, the event will be viewable on-demand for 2 days after the live stream. The On-demand window is Tues 28 Feb 7.30am GMT – Thur 2 Mar 7.30am GMT. Tickets are on sale now at the link below. Produced by Driift & Wowow, the fully-live performance will be streamed worldwide at 6.00 pm Tokyo-time (JST) / 9:00 am London (GMT).  The show will then be re-broadcast so fans around the world can watch at a more convenient time. The show has been heavily rumored to feature former Megadeth lead guitarist Marty Friedman as a guest performer.

Tarja and Torsten Stenzel’s Project Outlanders Shares a New Music Video for “Closer To The Sky”

Outlanders, launched by Finnish soprano legend Tarja Turunen and EDM pioneer Torsten Stenzel, have released the official music video  to “Closer to the Sky.” The track features guitarist Trevor Rabin, best known as guitarist of prog rock icons Yes (“Owner of a Lonely Heart”), as well as a top Hollywood blockbuster movies score composer. Their next planned single is  “The Cruellest Goodbye,” due out January 28th. It will be released as a limited edition 7″ vinyl exclusively at Tarja’s online store and digitally at earMUSIC. A full album will be due later in 2022 and features guest stars such as Al Di Meola, Joe Satriani, Jennifer Batten, Steve Rothery, Mike Oldfield, Walter Giardino, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Vernon Reid, and Marty Friedman. Dave was the original lead guitarist of Metallica, and the author of The New York Times bestseller Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir. Megadeth To Perform Entire “Youthanasia” Album Next Halloween

Megadeth  will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their Youthansia album on Halloween, October 31st by playing the record in its entirety on October 31 at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado. The album, released on November 1st 1994 via Capitol Records, was certified platinum in an age when physical albums, specifically CD’s drove sales. Continue reading →
