Arjen Lucassen, the mastermind behind Ayreon, has been hard at work again. In this year full of turmoil and unexpected events, he has bestowed upon us a new multi-media project called Transitus (Mascot Label Group). You see, this is not merely an expertly composed progressive rock-opera with a cast of famous and talented performers. No, this time, we have a visual! Dream Theater takes fans through a walk-through studio interview in a new video clip. Their new album Distance Over Time is due out on February 22nd via InsideOut Music. The artwork was created by long-time cover collaborator Hugh Syme (Rush, Iron Maiden, Stone Sour). Shining (Norway) Sign With Spinefarm Records

Shining will be releasing their next recordings through Spinefarm Records, expected out later in 2015. The album was mixed by Sean Bevan (Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle), and is about to be mastered in Los Angeles by Tom Baker of Baker Mastering. The brainchild of multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter Jørgen Munkeby, Norwegian collective Shining, fresh from a European tour guesting with Devin Townsend, have been breaking down musical barriers for the past 15 years, mixing progressive, technical metal, jazz, avant-garde and experimental sounds with cutting-edge visuals and blazing live performances.
