ALBUM REVIEW: GosT – Rites of Love and Reverence


GosT has, since 2013, been the vehicle for producer and singer James Lollar. Loosely fitting into the synthwave bracket, GosT’s music in fact takes influence from many areas including post-punk, industrial and black metal. Moreover, Lollar has regularly shared stages with metal bands including Pig Destroyer, The Black Dahlia Murder and Mayhem, as well as fellow synthwave acts such as Perturbator and Carpenter Brut.

ALBUM REVIEW: Royal Blood – Typhoons


From the moment of Royal Blood’s self-titled debut seven years ago, the Bristolian duo’s rise was meteoric. Their music is simple, brutal, and effective – taking inspiration from Queens of the Stone Age and The White Stripes and combining big hooks, tasty riffs, and volume to full effect. This beefed-up take on indie rock can only take you so far though, so on the new album Typhoons (Warner Records), they looked toward Dance and Disco to broaden their sound.  Continue reading

Cult Of Luna, Neurosis, and Trap Them have joined the eclectic lineup of one of the world’s most important music festivals, Roskilde. Taking place June 24th – July first, in Roskilde, Denmark, and boasts over 175 bands on 9 stages. Panorama Festival 2017 will take place at Randall Island in New York City from Friday, July 28 to Sunday, July 30.
