Iron Reagan Dismisses Rob Skotis Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations


Crossover Thrash Metal band Iron Reagan have fired bassist Rob Skotis over apparent sexual misconduct allegations. A day after Rob was dismissed as a partner in several Richmond, VA businesses he was a stakeholder in over these allegations, the band dismissed him as well. The band commented: “Effectively immediately Robert Skotis is no longer an active member of IRON REAGAN. We apologize for our delayed response to the allegations against him and hope we haven’t caused any further harm by not responding until now. We do not condone predatory behavior and would not knowingly associate ourselves with someone we felt was a threat or a danger to anyone.

“We encourage Rob to make a public statement to clarify this situation to us and the rest of the world.”

The band has not revealed plans for a replacement yet. Continue reading


FESTIVAL REVIEW: Adult Swim Festival


For just one weekend the Banc of California Stadium was transformed into a carnivalesque outdoor funhouse for the Adult Swim Festival. The stadium was alive with colorful distorted animations reminiscent of children’s cartoons and claymation scenes warped and hyperbolized beyond the mind’s comprehension, while a giant Meatwad dome sat across an even larger inflatable slide shaped like Morty’s head vomiting a rainbow.

Dethklok To Return To the Stage In 2019 at Adult Swimfest


Metal fans have mourned the loss of Brendon Small’s Metalocalypse television series and the real-life metal band that represented the music of the show Dethklok. The band will make its triumphant return and play its the first show in five years at the play the second annual Adult Swim Festival. The two-day event at Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium. Tickets for the fest — scheduled for Friday, November 15th and Saturday, November 16th — will go on sale to the public today at 12 p.m. PST. Tickets start at $49 and up.Continue reading

Modern Crossover Thrash meets the godfathers of the genre when Iron Reagan and Sacred Reigh team up for new tour dates this spring. Joining them will be reactivated hardcore legends Leeway and Enforced. The tour begins May 9 in Asbury Park, NJ and ends May 19 in Brooklyn, New York at the annual Black and Blue Bowl. Iron Reagan will first storm the shores of Europe this spring for tour dates with Madball (March 7-17) and the USA with Sick of it All.
