Lancaster five-piece, August Burns Red, have announced they will release a special, 20th anniversary version of their debut album Thrill Seeker. Fully re-recorded by producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, it also features vocalist, Jake Luhrs, who joined after the album’s original release. It is due out on January 24, via the band’s own ABR Records, in three vinyl variants, along with exclusive new merch. They have just dropped a lyric video for the opening track, “Your Little Suburbia Is In Ruins.” Check it out below.

The anticipated return of what many consider the most important traveling heavy music festival, Mayhem Festival, presented by Hit Parader and Live Nation, will take place in just under a week on Saturday, October 12 at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernadino, CA, where it began over 13 years ago. The fest features Bad Omens, Parkway Drive, Architects, Jinjer, August Burns Red, Throwdown, Poppy, Kittie, Suicide Silence, The festival is gearing things up and have revealed set times for the event.
With 2024’s event underway and already laying claim as one of the biggest and best Bloodstock’s ever, festival HQ have set the wheels in motion of 2025’s heavy metal juggernaut by announcing not one, not five, but nineteen bands for its hottest summer yet, including all headliners.
