Music, throughout history, has had a way of influencing the social behavior and norms found in human societies. Music is a universal language that is capable of bridging the gap between disparate people and entire social classes, cultures, and continents. Music can also be a tremendously personal thing, a song that has certain significance to one person may hold no meaning for the next. The current immeasurable dissonance in the social climate that spans the entire globe seems to push lost souls to seek comfort in music. American Satan, the 2017 movie Directed by Sumerian Records founder Ash Avildsen will see a television sequel Paradise City soon. The film starred and featured music from many Sumerian cornerstone artists with a score co-written by Jonathan Davis of Korn. Rocklahoma 2019. Three days in the sun, dust, and more sun over Memorial Day weekend (four days technically if you count the Thursday night pre-party). This was the 12 year of this annual festival and it was set to be one for the books from the get-go. Getting to this massive party was no small task on my part. The moment I received the press release for this album, I was über intrigued. I had heard the whisperings of a new project from Mr. Danny Worsnop, but nothing had come to fruition until now. I feel that I am a staunch Worsnop supporter and one who has followed his career from the start, and even I was taken by surprise by the tone of this album. I want to explain what I mean by that, so as to avoid any “bunching of undies” by his throng of fans. Danny first hit my radar in 2010 while he was still with Asking Alexandria, even from that first moment, I knew he was an enigma.
