Metalheads are suckers for nostalgia.  The very root of its subculture is framed as defenders of a faith that upholds a purity of metal. Killington Pit (Evanescence, Alice Cooper) Share Cover of Judas Priest Classic “Riding On the Wind”



Killington Pit are preparing to release their first original material, and play their first live shows, amongst their stream of cover songs. The latest of these is their rendition of Judas Priest classic, “Riding On the Wind,” from 1982’s Screaming For Vengeance album, complete with video. The members connected during the pandemic, began recording together, and a core band formed with Terry LeRoi, Will Hunt, Troy McLawhorn and Chuck Garric. “Riding On the Wind” follows the band’s initial two singles; Accept’s “Balls To The Wall,” and Rainbow’s “Kill the King,” the latter featuring Stef Burns (Alice Cooper/Huey Lewis & The News) and Jeff Blando (Slaughter/Lynchmob/Vince Neil). Moonspell Announce Early Years Box Set “Under The Moonspell”



Portuguese gothic metal legends, Moonspell, have just announced that they will release a special edition, early years box set, titled Under The Moonspell. Due out on April 20th via vocalist Fernando Ribeiro‘s own Alma Mater Records, it will feature their iconic 1994 LP Under The Moonspell, Under Satanæ as well as Anno Satanæ, the early demos. Their special acoustic tour also kicks off Friday, February 23rd, followed by European festival dates and their first-ever symphonic show headlining the biggest live arena in Portugal in October. Brainstory Share Double Single “Listen” and “Too Yung” from Upcoming New Album



California trio, Brainstory, have shared their new double single “Listen”/“Too Yung.” The tracks are both taken from the band’s forthcoming sophomore full-length, Sounds Good. The album was produced by Leon Michels (El Michels Affairs), and is due out April 19th via Big Crown Records. Brainstory also hit the road from February 23rd, with The Budos Band in North California, then a headline U.S. tour in April, and UK/EU dates with Lady Wray in May.
