Maryland Deathfest, the long running American metal festival institution has announced their first wave of bands for MDF XV in 2017. Headlined so far by Morbid Angel and Autopsy, the first wave of bands includes Siege, Terrorizer, Macabre, Akercocke (Exclusive U.S. Appearance), Behexen (Exclusive U.S. Appearance), Brodequin, Decrepit Birth, Dopethrone, Embalmer, In The Woods… (Exclusive U.S. Appearance!), Iron Lung, Kerasphorus, Macabre, Nightbringer, Nordjevel, Sargeist (Exclusive U.S. Appearance!), and Usurper. In addition to special appearances denoted above, Morbid Angel will be performing with their new/old lineup including Steve Tucker, Terrorizer will perform all of their World Downfall album, and many more surprises to come. Limited early bird (4-day) passes go on sale today at 11 am EST at this link. Once these sell out, more will be released will be released at a later date.

Rock Fest Barcelona, the premier metal festival of Spain has announced is full schedule for this years’ event. Taking place from July 15th to 17th, the fest features music legends Iron Maiden, King Diamond, Whitesnake, Twisted Sister, Slayer, Anthrax and Doro. Louder Than Life Books Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Slayer, Disturbed, Korn and The Cult

Louisville Kentucky’s top flight metal and hard rock festival, the 3rd annual Louder Than Life festival has announced its 2016 lineup. Avenged Sevenfold will headline, with Slipknot, Slayer, Disturbed, Korn and The Cult performing among others on October 1st and 2nd.

Tickets go on sale this Wednesday at noon EST at www.LouderThanLifeFestival.com. Prices will be $79.50 for a single-day general admission, $89.50 for a general admission weekend pass, and $234.50 for a VIP weekend pass. Other packages are available, with prices increases soon.

Other bands performing at Champions Park on River Road are Ghost, Cheap Trick, The Pretty Reckless, Alter Bridge, Pierce the Veil, Clutch, Anthrax, Hellyeah, Sevendust, Trivium and Sick Puppies. More than 50,000 fans attended last year’s sold-out festival, most from out of state.

With the Louisville locale in the forefront, the festival also features on bourbon and “gourmet man food”.

Celebrity chefs will be Edward Lee, Tom Coghill, Bill Kunz and Jonathan Schwartz, while the Gourmet Man Food Village will have several dozen choices, including Doc Crow’s, El Luchador,: 502 Café, Aporkalypse Now, Hi-Five Doughnuts, Holy Mole, The Comfy Cow, Gelato Gilberto and Cheese Louise.

Twisted Sister To Play Farewell Show At The Rock Carnival 2016

Rock legends Twisted Sister will headline the second Annual Rock Carnival in Lakewood, NJ. The event will take place will on September 30th, October 1st and October 2nd. Twisted Sister will play the first day of the event and the this will be there farewell show for the U.S. northeast leg of the tour

Twisted Sister guitarist JJ French commented:

As 2016 marks the end of our live performing career, Twisted Sister is looking forward to returning to the Tri-State NYC area for the final time to the Rock Carnival at First Energy Park in Lakewood, NJ on Oct 1, 2016. In celebrating our 40th anniversary and our farewell to live performing, we are bringing our “40 & F*ck It” worldwide farewell tour one last time to the area that created us!”

There will be other hard rock and metal acts that will be performing at the Rock Carnival as well, Overkill, Ace Frehley, Fuel, Monster Magnet, Tom Keifer’s Cinderella, Dokken,Texas Hippie Coalition, Doro and American Angel. There will be more Rock Carnival performances to be announced soon.

Ozzfest Meets Knotfest To Feature Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Disturbed, Slayer

Two of the biggest heavy music brands in history have joined together as Ozzfest has returned and will team up with Slipknot’s Knotfest as a conjoined two-day festival. Ozzfest Meets Knotfest will take place Saturday, September 24 (Ozzfest) and Sunday, September 25 (Knotfest) at San Manuel Amphitheater and Festival Grounds in San Bernardino, California.Long-rumoured to be making a comeback, Ozzfest is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Knotfest which debuted in 2012 and has spawned other versions in Japan and Mexico. Tickets for the Live Nation produced fest with a multi-stage, two-day weekend camping event with more than 40 acts — go on sale Friday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. (PST) at Ozzfest.com and Knotfest.com.

At a press conference earlier today the event was announced, followed by a performance by Zakk Wylde’s Zakk Sabbath. Present were Ozzfest founder Ozzy Osbourne and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and M. Shawn Crahan. The event began with a movie screening, followed by a question-and-answer session with artists.

Ozzy commented on the event:

“We are here to create havoc and history. Let the madness begin…”

Slipknot’s Corey Taylor added:

Other bands scheduled to appear include Korn, Ontario punks Billy Talent and Sum 41, Bring Me The Horizon, Florida’s A Day To Remember, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Twisted Sister (farewell tour and last show in Canada), Puscifer, NOFX (performing their album Punk In Drublic), The Used (performing their album In Love and Death), At The Drive-In (reunion show), Underoath (reunion show), Blink-182’s Travis Barker (solo show), NOFX’s Fat Mike performing as Cokie The Clown (world-exclusive solo show), Lagwagon (performing their album Hoss), Millencolin, Streetlight Manifesto, Against Me!, Strung Out, Guttermouth, No Use For A Name (special tribute), Leftover Crack, Wizo, Flag, The Adicts, Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Steve Ignorant of Crass, D.O.A., Turbonegro and GG Allin (special tribute), Sepultura, Sodom (first show in Canada in 10 years), D.R.I. Tickets are now on sale at www.amnesiarockfest.com and at Amnesia stores. Once again this year, festival weekend passes will be sold at very reasonable rates: $120 (plus fees and taxes), which comes out to less than a dollar per band! New this year: festival-goers can pay for their order in five instalments. VIP packages are also available.

For the 2016 edition of the festival, the VIP campground will be totally revamped to offer a unique experience to festival-goers. Again this year, several public transit options will be available, as well as an area for RV camping.

Among the top bands headlining are New Found Glory, Tonight Alive, Sum 41, Falling In Reverse, Less Than Jake, The Story So Far, Yellowcard, Reel Big Fish, We The Kings, Sleeping With Sirens, Four Year Strong, Mayday Parade, The Maine, Pepper, Motionless In White, ISSUES, Crown The Empire, State Champs and more. The lineup was anouncedat a special event/concert webcast , the first-ever Warped Tour Kick-Off Live Webcast held Llst night, held at Full Sail Live in Winter Park, FL

Tour founder Kevin Lyman MC’d the night and commented:

Vans Warped Tour Tickets On Sale, Lineup Announcement Tonight

Tickets for the 2016 Vans Warped Tour, Presented By Journeys went on sale today at 10 AM local time.

Following the on sales which are expected to be brisk as in many years, the formal announcement of most of the lineup will be this evening at the Warped Tour event, live streamed from Full Sail University in Winter Park Florida. If you can’t be there in person, feel free to follow the event on Warped Tours’ social networks. In addition to the lineup unveiling, there ill be live performance from Warped bands. As reported this weekend, a leaked poster has revealed most of the supposed lineup, although the festival has neither confirmed or denied this.
