Warped Tour Dates Announced For Next Summer For East And West Coasts


Kevin Lyman, the co-founder of Warped Tour broke a major story for next summer, as Warped Tour, which had is final cross-country run of dates in the USA last summer, will become two weekend festivals in 2019. Lyman tweeted: “Only thing I can say for now, since many need to hold vacation dates are June 8 Cleveland, June 29-30 East Coast, July 20-21 West Coast.” There was a lot of speculation that Warped would return at a destination weekend festival in the future. Alkaline Trio – Is This Thing Cursed?


As we move into the Post-Warped Tour era (don’t write letters, we know it’s coming back as a festival in a year or two), it’s a comfort to know that there are still classic 1990s pop-punk bands you can count on. The mid-to-later half of that decade was full of great punk bands with a lot of fire, and some killer melodies. One of those bands was Chicago’s Alkaline Trio, led by founding vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba, also doing time in Warped mainstay Blink-182. Their ninth and most recent release, Is This Thing Cursed? put out on their longtime label Epitaph, feels like a win early on. In spite of a five-year gap between albums, the enthusiasm of the band can be felt in the songs and was intended to recapture the feel of their earliest work. Continue reading


We Came As Romans Singer Kyle Pavone, Dead At Age 28


News has come down today that Kyle Pavone, the singer for metalcore band We Came As Romans has died. Kyle was 28. No cause of death has been revealed at this time. The news came from a post to Instagram, which you can see below. We’ll keep tracking the story as news develops. We have covered We Came As Romans for many years, through Warped Tour and many albums, and were a fan of the band as well. The Amity Affliction Share New Single, New Album Due Out Late Summer


Metalcore leaders The Amity Affliction has released a new video and single for the track ‘Ivy (Doomsday)’. The track comes from their forthcoming new album Misery, due out on August 24th via Roadrunner Records. Written and co-directed by the band’s own Joel Birch, the official video for ‘Ivy (Doomsday)’ marks the first chapter of a three-part short film chronicling a dark tale of three friends and their quest for vengeance.
