Today is the day! The third annual Decibel Metal and Beer Festival takes place today at the Fillmore in Philadelphia! Fourteen of the best bands and some of the best craft brewers in the world converge in Philly for all the mayhem. Tribulation Wins Swedish Grammis Award, New Tour With Gaahls Wyrd Soon

Swedish dark progressive band Tribulation won the Swedish Grammis award this week for their 2018 album Down Below (Century Media) in the category “Best Hard Rock / Metal Album”. The band will release their EP Melancholia, next week for the first time on Vinyl. Quebec Deathfest – Live At Various Venues

The first ever Quebec Deathfest took place last month, from the folks that brought you Maryland Deathfest, Netherlands Deathfest, and more. Taking place across several venues in the metal capital of Canada, Quebec, the fest had many of the highlights of other festivals (multiple stages, vendors, lots of beer) that make this a worthy inclusion of your annual concert calendar. Bands on the bill included death metal greats like Autopsy, Demolition Hammer, Exhorder, Uada, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Malignancy, Unleashed, Skinless, Skeletal Remains, Outre-Tombe, Bell Witch, Dehumanized, Tomb Mold, and many more. Today is the day! America’s best underground brutal, blackened underground music festival, Shadow Woods Metal Fest begins today. Although a few bands have been last minute cancellations due to Hurrican Florence and Ghost Bath canceled their entire tour due to van troubles, the festival is 100%taking place with only rain expected at Camp Hidden Valley, in Whitehall Maryland. The lineup includes  Abigail Williams, Xasthur, Aether Realm, Rozamov, Heavy Temple, A Sound of Thunder, Barishi, Destroyer of Light, Husbandry, God Root, Hepatagua, Cloak, Wolvhammer, Imperial Triumphant, Black Mass,  and many more. The four-day festival of extreme music and culture takes over one of the birthplace cities of heavy music in the world. The fest is sold out once again, adding to the excitement.
