Enigmatic Swedish metal band Shining has been added to Inferno Festival 2018, as a replacement for Katatonia, who canceled their appearance after going on hiatus. Shining is still touring in support of their tenth album X , Varg utan flock (Dark Essence/Season Of Mist) from 2016. Inferno Metal Festival is the longest-running and most extreme metal festival in Norway and one of the most important extreme metal festivals in the entire world. Our Oceans is a new band featuring guitarist Tymon Kruidenier (Exivious, ex-Cynic), singer/songwriter Noora Häkkinen (Noradrenaline), Robin Zielhorst (Exivious, ex-Cynic, Mourn) on fretless bass, Jasper Barendregt (Dodecahedron, Ulsect) on drums and Michel Nienhuis (Exivious, Dodecahedron) on additional guitars.
Zielhorst was filmed recording his bass parts for their debut album, which can be streamed here.
The band launched a crowd-funding campaign to finance the recordings and release of their debut album at the end of December 2014. Take a look at the promotional video here.
