Ghost’s infectious smash single (15 million Spotify streams) ‘Dance Macabre’ has received the creepy music video treatment after much teasing on social media. The track comes from their hit album Prequelle (Spinefarm) from earlier in 2018. Directed by Zev Deans, who also directed the ‘Square Hammer’, you can watch it below. Anti-Flag is an institution and a treasure of American punk rock. The kind of band we need more bands to emulate and follow in 2018. After two very good albums of anthemic, activist pop-punk the band has mined for almost 30 years with American Spring and American Fall (both Spinefarm), the question is where to go next? The band chose to switch things up and have made an all acoustic album from the best of their last two albums and some well-chosen covers for American Reckoning. Although the “punk goes acoustic” isn’t new or a trend, it’s a good way to re-imagine these tracks the band is not quite done with yet. Continue reading

Ghost performed a stunning show at Royal Albert Hall last night in the UK, supporting their smash hit album Prequelle (Spinefarm). The exclusive show was performed in two acts, as they did on their recent Rats On The Road headline tour of the USA. You can watch fan-filmed videos from the show below. Following the gig, the band released an ominous video featuring Sister Imperator and Papa Nihil, announcing a European tour, in addition, to already announced Scandinavian dates for next winter. In a post to social media, California metalcore kings Atreyu has announced their new album In Our Wake, releasing on October 12th via Spinefarm Records. This is the band’s second album since their reunion, following 2015s excellent comeback album Long Live (Search And Destroy/Spinefarm). The band created the album with John Feldmann (a.k.a. Feldy of Goldfinger) who famously produced their classic Lead Sails And Paper Anchor album. The final track ‘Super Hero’ even features M.
