Bloodstock Open Air Reveals Entertainment and Fancy Dress Themes
Bloodstock, the UK’s biggest independent metal festival, is all set to take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire on 7th-10th August 2025. With headliners, Gojira, Trivium, and Machine Head, joined by the likes of Mastodon, Nailbomb, Ministry, Emperor, Fear Factory, and others, there are still more to be announced. When Entombed followed Uffe Cederlund’s vision and produced the divisive Same Difference in 1998, the direction and sound that incorporated a hefty dose of Unsane and Cederlund’s other project, Haystack, was quickly parked following an overwhelmingly negative response -it’s genuinely not a bad record at all, with hindsight – Senior Ed], and the Stockholm massive returned to their HM-2 Death n’ Roll stylings.
Haystack, too, fell by the wayside for over two decades, too. The resurrection continues, though, with second album since their return, and fourth overall, Doomsday Goes Away (The Dogma Repertory Institute/Threeman Recordings).

Knotfest.Com has today announced the inaugural UK “Pulse of the Maggots Fest” as the KNOTFEST brand expands into the UK for the very first time. The debut event’s international bill features some of the hottest in developing heavy artists and finds its first UK base at The Mill in Birmingham, the city internationally renowned as the global ‘Home Of Metal.’ Headlining the debut event will be the pack leaders of the new force in British metal, Sylosis.
