Sonic Temple Art And Music Festival returned to Columbus, Ohio for the first time after taking three gap years.
Let’s begin with a little context. The inaugural instance of Sonic Temple was in 2019. Leading up to the event, festival promoter Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) had discontinued an arrangement with AEG Presents to jointly produce Rock On The Range, the festival in Columbus, Ohio that Sonic Temple replaced. So, Sonic Temple needed to be different enough from Rock On The Range to dispel any raised eyebrows about the move. DWP also broke off ties at about the same time with AEG for their jointly created Carolina Rebellion festival and started a new one in its place called Epicenter. While those moves might have been sound business decisions, it still turned out to be a tough year for DWP festivals.

The festivities kick off with the Rocklahoma campgrounds opening on Sunday, August 27 and music performances get underway at the official Rocklahoma pre-party on Thursday, August 31. Full weekend passes are on sale now, with single-day tickets available this spring.

Vinyl Collecable figure of iconic Heavy Metal singer for Black Sabbath, Rainbow, and his solo career- Ronnie James Dio. Other artists who have gotten the Pop! Rocks treatment includes Slipknot, N.W.A., Kiss, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Prince, Rob Zombie, FFDP, Alice In Chains, PanterA, Dee Snider, Twisted Sister, a set of the guys in Twizted, Glow in The Dark Iron Maiden, and more. The Funko brand, which sells other figures and licensed merchandise, went public with an IPO in 2018.

This is the beauty of Avatar’s Dance Devil Dance. Within the same song, they combine a multitude of genres together.
Punk Rock Vegan Movie, a new documentary written and directed by Moby, is out now and streaming for free on all platforms! The film debuted at the 2023 Slamdance Film Festival and also was featured at the prestigious San Francisco Indie Film Festival this month. The film, which is Moby’s directorial debut, is a passionate and stylistically idiosyncratic look at the ongoing relationship between the worlds of punk rock and animal rights. It includes interviews with some of the biggest names in punk and rock history, like Ian Mackaye, HR, Dave Navarro, Ray Cappo, Andrew Hurley, Tony Kanal, Tim McIlrath, Water Schreifels, Dave Dictor, Derrick Green, Steve Ignorant, Theo Kogan, Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, Amy Lee, and Captain Sensible.
Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper have announced the “Freaks on Parade Tour” via the Bandsintown concert app. Direct support will come from Ministry and Filter for what is promised to be one of 2023’s best tours. Produced by Live Nation, the 19-city run kicks off Thursday, August 24th in Dallas at Dos Equis Pavilion, with stops across North America in Virginia Beach, Toronto, Nashville, Anaheim and more before wrapping up on Sunday, September 24th in Phoenix at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre. Tickets go on sale starting Friday, February 3rd at 10 am local time via livenation.com.
