Beastie Boys, Faith No More, Radiohead, Alice Cooper, Rainbow, Bruce Springsteen, Heart, and More are Featured in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3
Marvel Studios just released their latest film in The Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3. As is the trademark of all of director James Gunn’s movies, music plays a prominent role in the fabric of the film itself. In addition to using Rainbow’s “Since You’ve Been Gone” in the trailer, many songs from 1970s to the 2000s figure prominently in the movie including an unplugged version of Radiohead’s “Creep,” Faith No More’s first hit from the 1980s “We Care A Lot,” Beastie Boys’s “No Sleep Til Brooklyn” and many more. The film was written and directed by Gunn, and features an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Will Poulter, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Linda Cardellini, Nathan Fillion, and Sylvester Stallone. ALBUM REVIEW: Oceans – Hell Is Where The Heart Is
Nuclear Blast Records have had a storming year, and they continue their hot streak with the release of Hell Is Where The Heart Is by Oceans. The four piece whose members hail from Berlin and Vienna released their debut EP Into The Void in 2019 followed by Cover Me In Darkness, a second EP in the same year featuring their interpretations of tracks from the likes of Alice In Chains, Deftones and Radiohead, before dropping their debut LP The Sun And The Cold in 2020.
Radiohead Puts Most of Their Back Catalog on Bandcamp
Radiohead has put the majority of their catalog on Bandcamp for free. Fans can listen to or purchase all nine of the band’s studio albums, the 2001 live album I Might Be Wrong, the King of Limbs remix album, 2007’s In Rainbows Disk 2, and the reissues OK Computer OKNOTOK 1997 2017 and Kid A Mnesia. Kid A Mnesia is Radiohead’s new box set, featuring Kid A, Amnesiac, and an album of previously unreleased material. The album is due November 5th, 2021. The band has a rocky past with streaming, pulling most of their music off Spotify in 2013 (they returned a short time later), and opening their own online archive, the Radiohead Public Library in 2020. Watch Dave Chappelle Cover Radiohead’s “Creep” On Stage with Foo Fighters
Comedian Dave Chapelle joined Foo Fighters on stage at Madison Square Garden for their show last night, June 20th, 2021. They covered the Radiohead pop rock classic “Creep” with Dave on lead vocals. Dave is actually a skilled Jazz pianist who used to personally chose the musical guests on his series Chappelle Show series. Chappelle, who was in New York City to premiere his new documentary, “Dave Chappelle: This Time This Place”, at the Tribeca Festival, previously sang “Creep” live several times over the years. Enigmatic Alt-Rock legends Radiohead has created a fan archive dubbed “Radiohead Public Library”. From today, visitors at Radiohead.com will be able to create their own library card and membership number, and access a highly curated and organized archive of the band’s catalogue and corresponding visuals and various artifacts associated with each album: Detailed artwork, official videos, and ad-free HD live and TV performances, B-Sides and compilation tracks, previously out-of-print merchandise to be custom made on demand, band members’ “office chart” playlists from around the time of In Rainbows, The King of Limbs and A Moon Shaped Pool recording sessions, and more.Continue reading
My Chemical Romance Heavily Rumored for Coachella Festival
According to a report from Consequence Of Sound, My Chemical Romance will be performing at next year’s Coachella Music Festival. The website reports is saying industry source. In a story first reported by Ghost Cult, Rage Against The Machine is already confirmed with other potential headliners in Frank Ocean, Travis Scott and more. Other acts that will reportedly be performing include Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Lana Del Rey, and Australian electronic artist Flume. The recently reunited MCR have never played Coachella. The festival returns for its 21st edition on April 10-12 and April 17-19 2020 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The festival typically reveals the official lineup in January with tickets going on sale shortly after.

Radiohead Thwarts Blackmailer by Streaming 18 Hours of Unreleased Songs from “OK Computer”
Radiohead has announced the immediate release of eighteen hours of unreleased OK Computer (Parlophone) era outtakes and demos for the next 18 days for 18 pounds. This stems from frontman Thom Yorke suffering a computer hack and his stolen music archives and the thief demanding $150,0000 payment to get the archive back.
