With no less than twenty-two studio albums behind them, NWOBHM legends Saxon are back again but with something a little different this time. Instead of just rummaging around in the attic for an old live recording, or throwing together a contractually obliged “Best Of…”, Barnsley’s finest have taken their time during lockdown to produce something a little more imaginative. Tony Iommi Doubts Black Sabbath Will Ever Return
In a new interview with The Mercury News, Tony Iommi was asked about the possibility of another Black Sabbath tour at some point in the future. Iommi said he’d like the band to reunite, but doubts it would ever happen, even if it’s just a one-off or a short tour.

With the upcoming international launch of DC Comics’, Dark Nights: Death Metal, seven of the most renowned metal music bands for Dark Nights: Death Metal – Band Edition. Among them, Sepultura will team with artist Pedro Mauro to create the cover for issue #5. Others featured include Ozzy, Megadeth, Ghost, Dream Theater, Opeth and Lacuna Coil. Representing a cross-section of metal music from across genres and generations, each special edition will feature a variant cover spotlighting a different metal band, an introduction from the band, and an exclusive interview.

Ozzy Osbourne Rebooks “No More Tours 2” with Judas Priest for 2022
Ozzy Osbourne has rescheduled previously postponed dates for the European leg of his “No More Tours 2”. Judas Priest will again be the opening act for all of the dates, except for one new date in Hungary, at the Budapest Arena. Fans should hold on to their tickets as they remain valid for all rescheduled tour dates, and refunds must be sought at the point of purchase. Ozzy himself sent a message of thanks to his loyal fans:
ALBUM REVIEW: SpellBook – Magic and Mischief
After releasing two albums and an EP under the Witch Hazel moniker, the York, Pennsylvania quartet has rebranded as SpellBook. Their first album under this new moniker, Magic & Mischief (Cruz Del Sur Music), doesn’t deviate too far from their established Occult Rock style. There are a multitude of Seventies Rock grooves fitted with a slight Doom crunch that is quick to recall their contemporaries in groups like Lucifer, Demon Eye, and Icarus Witch.

Sharon Osbourne Gives Update on Ozzy’s Health and New Album
Sharon Osbourne made an appearance on the latest episode of Steve-O’s “Wild Ride!” podcast and says that Ozzy is “doing really good” after suffering from several medical issues last year, including a fall, neck surgery and hospitalization for the flu. She also said he is ready to begin working on another new album, after releasing his smash comeback album Ordinary Man earlier this year. Continue reading
