ALBUM REVIEW: Sevendust – Truth Killer


Closing in on 30 years into their career, you couldn’t blame Sevendust if they took their foot off the gas at this stage. They have indicated as much that they are looking to tour less intensely as they have been, as the bands have families and are thinking of their futures. The band has slogged it out for decades on countless tours, metal festivals worldwide, and at times, more intimate unplugged gigs as well. While there are surely not a lot of new mountains to climb, it’s refreshing to see that the band is still hungry, and challenging themselves to create quality new songs on their 14th album Truth Killer. Following a successful run at Rise Records, the band has found a new home in Napalm Records, home to many of their peers and touring partners. The vibe at Napalm fits better than Rise did, as they head into this next phase of their career.

Sevendust Announces Blood And Stone” Album Due This Fall


Sevendust has announced their new album, their thirteenth and second for Rise Records, Blood & Stone. The album is due out October 23rd. They once again worked with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette, known for his work with Alter Bridge, Tremonti, Slash, and others. Falling In Reverse – Coming Home


Infamous vocalist Ronnie Radke is renowned for over-introspection when it comes to his music. His band’s direction on previous album Just Like You, was a throwback to his Escape The Fate days as he felt people were yearning for that nostalgia trip. Having gotten that out of the system, fourth album Coming Home (Epitaph) was about finding and defining a style, and staying focused to a conceptual thread throughout the music. Tremonti Releasing Cauterize June 8th, US Dates Confirmed

Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti will be releasing his second solo release Cauterize with his solo band Tremonti on June 8, 2015 via Fret 12 Records. The album was produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette, and features Tremonti (vocals and guitars), Eric Friedman (guitars), Wolfgang Van Halen (bass) and Garrett Whitlock (drums).

Tremonti are also looking forward to hitting the road in support of the new album. However, the band will need to initially tour without bassist Wolfgang Van Halen due to the recently announced Van Halen US tour. “I am still part of TREMONTI and very excited for the release of ‘Cauterize’, but unfortunately am unable to participate in the upcoming dates due to my prior commitment with Van Halen for the summer tour in support of the Tokyo Dome Live In Concert album,” states bassist Wolfgang Van Halen. “Look forward to seeing all of the TREMONTI fans on the road as soon as my schedule permits!”
