According to TMZ, the death of  Metal Church singer Mike Howe has been ruled a suicide by hanging. He was 55. This contradicts the original report initially by TMZ. The news was broken by the band in a Facebook post, and Mike died at his home in Eureka, California today, July 26th, 2021. One of the best pure melodic singer ever in Heavy Metal, Howe originally hailed from Michigican singing for the band Breaking Point, Howe joined Metal Church for 1989’s Blessing In Disguise.We’ll continue to monitor this story. Mike Howe, Singer of Metal Church Has Died, Aged 55

Sad and sudden news as Metal Church singer Mike Howe has died. He was 55. No cause of death was revealed at this time. The news was broken by the band in a Facebook post, and Mike died at his home in Eureka, California today, July 26th, 2021. One of the best pure melodic singer ever in Heavy Metal, Howe originally hailed from Michigican singing for the band Breaking Point, Howe joined Metal Church for 1989’s Blessing In Disguise and would sing on six more releases from 18989 to 1993, and again from 2016 – to 2020 in his stints in the band. Michael Alago recently released his memoir I Am Michael Alago: Breathing Music. Signing Metallica. Beating Death. (BackBeat Books), written by Alago with Laura Davis-Chanin (with a foreword by Mina Caputo of Life of Agony and John Joseph of Cro-Mags) and you can read our review here. Michael is the music industry legend that signed Metallica to Electra Records and helped guide them on the path to being the biggest band of all time. David Z (David Zablidowsky) was the brilliant metal and progressive rock musician best known for his work in bands such as Adrenaline Mob, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and ZO2, died three years ago on July 17th, 2017 when a tractor-trailer collided with Adrenaline Mob’s tour bus. The Metal Hall of Fame Charity Gala To Be Filmed for Amazon Prime

Big news! The Hall of Heavy Metal History a.k.a. The Metal Hall of Fame has announced that the 2020 Annual Metal Hall of Fame Celebrity Charity Gala will be filmed live and will air on Amazon Prime. Hard rock and heavy metal fans in attendance will be featured in the filming, which will take place on January 15 at the Marriott Delta Garden Grove in Anaheim, CA. The world premiere of the film will air in early 2020, reaching more than 100 million subscribers. Metal Hall of Fame President/CEO Pat Gesualdo says, “Having the World Premier for the 2020 Metal Hall of Fame Gala on Amazon Prime is a great honor. Music Industry Legend Michael Alago’s Memoir Due Out Next Spring

Michael Anthony Alago, legendary music industry A & R executive who signed Metallica To Elektra and worked with the likes of everyone from White Zombie, Flotsam And Jetsam, Metal Church, and all the way to Hall of Famers like Nina Simone, will finally release his autobiography I Am Michael Alago: Breathing Music. Signing Metallica. Beating Death in March of 2020 via Backbeat Books. Co-written with Laura Davis-Chanin. Alago was the subject of the documentary by Drew Stone, “Who the F*ck is That Guy? The Fabulous Journey of Michael Alago” in 2017, which is now on Netflix. Alago’s book promised to be a no holds barred look into his life growing up in Brooklyn, his groundbreaking work in the music business surviving the Aids crisis, overcoming addiction, to his life in the present as a published and celebrated photographer and personality.
