Green Day has formally announced their massive headline tour of the world for 2024, supporting their new album, Saviours, out January 19th. As leaked by the band live on stage at their surpise show during When We Were Young Festival 2023, the band will be joined on one North American leg by Smashing Pumpkins and Rancid. They will also perform as festivals all over the world this summer. The band has shared instructions to pre-order the new album and get an exclusive pre-sale code for the tour. Genre-defining rock group and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Green Day performed on the Amazon Music Live stage following Thursday Night Football. Hosted by 2 Chainz and airing after the NFL’s Thursday Night Football, the weekly live-streamed concert series saw Green Day performing some of their biggest hits including “Basket Case,” “American Idiot,” and “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” The group also performed new songs “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and “Look Ma, No Brains.” Fans can watch Green Day’s performance of “The American Dream is Killing Me” below!

Green Day has shared a new single and music video for “The American Dream Is Killing Me”, the first single and opening track from the group’s 14th studio album Saviors, due on January 19, 2024 via Reprise/Warner. Green Day Announced as Latest Amazon Music Live Headliner for Thursday Night Football

For the special AML performance, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees have prepared a career-spanning set that will draw from their extensive catalog and includes new surprises. Green Day just celebrated the 30th anniversary of their 10x platinum, diamond-certified, GRAMMY-winning album Dookie with the release of a massive Dookie 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition box set. ALBUM REVIEW: The Dirty Nil – Free Rein To Passions

Ah, the age-old balance between the jagged, dirty edges of rock and the polish, apparently, required to make a commercial success of this left of mainstream universe we all inhabit. Get it right, and radio and playlists and such stardom-related “things” await… yet, to play that game too much and for too long is to risk losing the soul and joy that is at the heart of the art that got you there in the first place. So, seemingly as a response to the more contrived, collaborative, and involved process that led to their predecessor Fuck Art, alternative rockers The Dirty Nil have given themselves over to their natural instincts, indulging a Free Rein To Passions (Dine Alone) on their fourth album.

Foo Fighters and Green Day To Headline Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival In July

Foo Fighters and Green Day will headline the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival, set to take place July 13-16 across different venues in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Foo Fighters will perform on July 15 in Veterans Park to celebrate the Milwaukee motorcycle company’s 120th anniversary. Green Day will play in the park on July 14. Opening for Green Day on July 14 will be Social Distortion, Phantogram, and Kennyhoopla. On July 15, Cody Jinks, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and White Reaper will open the date for Foo Fighters.

ALBUM REVIEW: Pale Waves – Unwanted

Making it clear from the outset that vibrancy (and guitars) are a key element of their third album, Pale Waves kick off Unwanted (Dirty Hit) hurtling straight into a vocal and guitar-strummed combo two-line tease of what is to come throughout the album. While opening track ‘Lies’ may spend most of its run-time stripped down to a funking bass and drum pattern playing under Heather Baron-Gracie’s catchy vocal lines, it flashes enough of a smile to let us know the six-string grin is back. Continue reading →
