Hardcore Band Militarie Gun Has Their Song “Do It Faster” Featured in The Latest Taco Bell Campaign “Do It Faster” 


Hardcore Metal band Militarie Gun have seen their song “Do It Faster” featured in the latest advertising campaign from Taco Bell. The ads have been running for a week so far but gained much traction this weekend during the Christmas NFL games. The band is the latest hardcore-adjacent or Punk band used by the fast food giant, Taco Bell, including Turnstile, Scowl, and Pop Punk icons Green Day. All of these bands faced a backlash from the scene after these ads aired, but also helped raise the profile of these bands. Green Day has formally announced their massive headline tour of the world for 2024, supporting their new album, Saviours, out January 19th. As leaked by the band live on stage at their surpise show during When We Were Young Festival 2023, the band will be joined on one North American leg by Smashing Pumpkins and Rancid. ALBUM REVIEW: The Dirty Nil – Free Rein To Passions


 

Ah, the age-old balance between the jagged, dirty edges of rock and the polish, apparently, required to make a commercial success of this left of mainstream universe we all inhabit. Get it right, and radio and playlists and such stardom-related “things” await… yet, to play that game too much and for too long is to risk losing the soul and joy that is at the heart of the art that got you there in the first place. So, seemingly as a response to the more contrived, collaborative, and involved process that led to their predecessor Fuck Art, alternative rockers The Dirty Nil have given themselves over to their natural instincts, indulging a Free Rein To Passions (Dine Alone) on their fourth album.
