Lamb Of God have confirmed that due to restrictions in various territories, they have had to postpone their intended ‘State Of Unrest’ UK headline tour until late 2022. Lamb Of God’s headline UK trek will now take place December 2022. German Thrash kings Kreator are still on the bill. Joining them are Thy Art Is Murder and Gatecreeper. Power Trip is now off the bill, following the passing of frontman Riley Gale in August of 2020.
Copenhell has announced its first bands for 2022 next summer and it looks like a banger. Metallica will make their debut appearance ever at the fest performing on the new fourth day, June 15th, 2022, as announced on social media by Lars Ulrich, who is from Denmark. Metallica will offer a pre-sale for tickets through their Fifth Members Fan Club. Joining the band will be Iron Maiden, Kiss, Judas Priest, Korn, D-A-D, Mercyful Fate, Emperor, Bad Religion, Opeth, The Hellacopters, Bersærk, Jinjer, Gloryhammer, Death To All, Of Mice & Men, Artillery, Dog Eat Dog, Siamese, Destruction, Orm, Redwood Hill, Ghost Iris, Withering Surface, Xenoblight, Hällas, Lok, Gatecreeper, Knocked Loose, Svartsot, Soren Andersen, Eyes, Denial Of God, Wayward Dawn, Lifesick, Nyredolk and more to be announced. The fest runs from June 15th – 19th 2022.
As usual, Slipknot does what other bands cannot. The band is bringing back their Knotfest event back home as Knotfest Iowa this September and it features a ton of bands such as The full line-up features Slipknot headlining, with Faith No More, Megadeth, Lamb Of God, $uicide Boy$, Gojira, Trivium, Tech N9ne, FEVER 333, Knocked Loose, Turnstile, Gatecreeper, and Vended. The event will be the biggest heavy music festival to ever hit the mid-western state and will be held at National Balloon Classic Field in Indianola, IA, on Saturday, September 25th. Tickets will be available on pre-sale to Knotfest.com subscribers from 10am Central time on today (Tues, May 25th), with a general on-sale from 10am Central on June 4th, at the link below. Slipknot has also announced they have returned to the studio to record their new album.
Hard to believe that we are rapidly approaching one year of living with the Covid-19 pandemic. Thanks Coronavirus! Due to city-wide bans on gatherings in excess of 250 people in Seattle and 1000 people in San Francisco, the “Decibel Magazine Tour” dates in those cities have been canceled. This year’s edition of the “Decibel Magazine Tour” — featuring Mayhem, Abbath, Gatecreeper, and Idle Hands — was scheduled to play Seattle On March 17 at Showbox Market and San Francisco on March 20 At the Regency Ballroom. The Washington State and San Francisco are banning large gatherings to help reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus. Washington State isground zero for Coronavirus in the United States with 30 deaths, one of the highest numbers in the world. The bans are a way to create social distancing, which may help people avoid coming into contact with others who might be sick. Gatherings of more than 250 people in the Seattle area are prohibited through the end of March. Gatherings of more than 1,000 people will be banned in San Francisco for two weeks. COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The virus has infected more than 115,800 people — including at least 1,000 in the U.S. — and killed more than 4,200 worldwide, according to CNN. Yesterday, in the United States Donald Trump instituted a travel band to and from Europe, which means many bands and fans will have a hard time getting into and out of the country.Continue reading
