Mayhem, The Vintage Caravan, Gaahl’s Wyrd, Inter Arma, Gost and more Added to Damnation Festival 2019


A major announcement of lineup additions arrives today as Damnation Festival has added sick bands such as Mayhem, playing on the main stage with Opeth on November 2nd. They are joined by a cadre of awesome bands such as The Vintage Caravan, Gaahl’s Wyrd, Inter Arma, Gost, and Carnation. They joined the aforementioned Opeth, Primordial, Venom Prison, Blood Red Throne, Birds In Row, Jo Quail and Imperial Triumphant. More bands to be announced. Mayhem Re-signs to Century Media Records, New Album Due Next Fall


 

Originators of True Norwegian Black Metal, Mayhem has re-signed with Century Media Records and will release a new album later in 2019. Their debut full-length De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas (1994) turns twenty-five this year is still considered by many to be the most influential Black Metal album of all time. Their sixth album will be released on October 25th. Soon after, they will embark on a European headline tour with special guests Gaahl’s WYRD and Gost. Continue reading

Tribulation Wins Swedish Grammis Award, New Tour With Gaahls Wyrd Soon


Swedish dark progressive band Tribulation won the Swedish Grammis award this week for their 2018 album Down Below (Century Media) in the category “Best Hard Rock / Metal Album”. The band will release their EP Melancholia, next week for the first time on Vinyl. Batshuka Cancels Inferno 2019 Appearance, Aura Noir Joins The Line-up


Excellent kvlt metallers Batushka were recently announced for Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo, Norway. However, they dropped out with no notice this week. Stepping in to replace their will be Aura Noir.
